The Electromagnetic Atom – A Simple Model

The Mass Delusion: Itsy Bitsy Jig Saw Puzzles Pieces

The original purpose of my quest for a Unified Field Theory was to unify gravitation and electromagnetism, but I found that it was impossible to do this without creating a new model of the atom, a model that would fit the behavior exhibited by atoms in a gravitational field. Therefore it was required that I create new model of the atom, and since gravitation is not really a force that acts between ‘masses of matter’, but is just a variation of electromagnetic forces, it was therefore not required that I include ‘elementary mass particles’ in my model, for it turns out that all the behavior attributed to ‘mass particles’ can also be explained if we understand that an atom is just a closed electromagnetic bubble, a sort of container for ‘fluid energy’.

It is important to keep in mind here that the measurement of ‘mass particles’ is the measurement of the energy of mass particles and not the particles themselves, for the particles are far to small to ever be seen or measured in any way, and so therefore it is required that masses of energy be measured, and then these measurements, if they are interpreted as the measurements of energy released by masses of matter, can then be used as evidence that ‘elementary mass particles’ actually exist. When we say that matter is made up of itsy bitsy pieces of matter which are then formed into pictures like itsy bitsy jig saw puzzle pieces we invoke a tautology, in that we say that big matter is composed of itsy bitsy matter. Therefore it then becomes necessary to fulfill the dream of the alchemists and just as an alchemist searched for the means to turn lead into gold, it would then be required that the physicist search for the means to transform energy into matter.

When you touch a table top, it feels solid, but actually what is happening is that closed little electromagnetic bubbles in the table top are pushing against little closed energy bubbles in your fingers. When you see a table top, what you are seeing is little waves of energy bouncing off little bubbles and activating little rods and cones made of absorbing bubbles in your eye balls, and you think that you are seeing a table, made of a ‘mass of matter’, perhaps little itsy bitsy bits of matter, but matter none the less.

The Essential Characteristics of Energy

It is only required that you understand two things if you want to make sense out of energy.

1. The Electric Field: It is characteristic of energy to be attracted to what is empty of energy. Where there is a difference in the level of energy there will be current flow as the energy attempts to equalize the distribution of energy by flowing from a positive point (more energy) to a negative point (less or no energy). This potential difference is called a ‘voltage’ and the greater the difference between a pool of energy and a hole in the energy field, the stronger the flow of the current of energy will be. When the energy has been evenly spread within any closed system the current stops and energy enters a state of equilibrium.

2. The Magnetic Field: Wherever there is a flow, a current of energy on the move, there is always a magnetic field generated around the flow. Where there is a magnetic field there is always current, and where there is current there is always this surrounding magnetic field. The function of the magnetic field is to even out the distribution of the energy until it becomes completely evenly spread out within any closed system. If this state of equilibrium is achieved then the ‘charge’ that exists when there is a difference in potential states of energy (positive and negative) then disappears, the electric field effect disappears, the current stops flowing, and the magnetic field that surrounds the energy disappears. Many tricks are employed in electrical circuits to foil the work of the magnetic field and thus keep things happening all the time, rather than allowing the state of equilibrium to exist and the flow of energy to stop. For example there are resistors that inhibit the flow of current and thus keep the magnetic field hard at work, there are diodes that only allow energy to flow one way but not the other, there are coils that make the job of the magnetic field almost impossible, and there are spinning coils that constantly reverse the flow of the current, once again making equilibrium impossible to achieve, and so on and so on.

Consequences of the Mass Delusion

When medical researchers are looking into some disease, they fall prey to a delusion, in that they think they are dealing with viruses and proteins, when actually they are dealing with currents and magnetic fields, and the endless variations and complications that result when magnetism attempts to maintain equilibrium within a closed electromagnetic domain, and cannot do so, since space is infinite and has no dimensions, while energy is finite, and it is also impossible to create a completely even field when the energy in the universe has been quantized into little bubbles in the form of atoms. The basis of all science can then be understood to be the understanding of the futile battle between energy and space which is the ultimate source of all negative charge, since for energy any domain that is empty of energy or contains a quantity of energy less than that in another domain is negative space.

The Electromagnetic Atom

In order to understand the Electromagnetic Atom and thus make sense out of the universe around us, it is required that we understand what we refer to as the Big Bang, but it is not possible to understand the Big Bang without understanding the Electromagnetic Atom. This is the problem I encountered from the very start. You cannot explain or understand one thing without understanding everything. You cannot understand the past without understanding the present and you cannot understand the present without understanding the past. This creates a problem when you are attempting to explain the Unified Field Theory, since every part depends on every other part, and so therefore, since you have to start somewhere, I will, and if it seems that I am just speculating at this point, and have not justified what I am saying, it just means that this is a piece of work you might want to read twice, for you might get more out of it the second time around.

The atom is a closed Electromagnetic Sphere, which is a container for energy. The magnetic force generated by the movement of energy currents within the atom is responsible for creating the container in which the energy flows, and the energy flows within the container because of the enclosing effects of the magnetic field. Wherever you have current flow you have a magnetic field, and vice versa.

The current flow is maintained within an atom by means of a system of ‘pumps’ and ‘drains’. A negatively charged area is the drain, into which energy flows and the positively charged region is like a pump or a geyser, out of which the energy flows.

proton.gif - 37191 Bytes

A simple model of a ‘drain’ on the left (typically referred to as an ‘electron’ or a ‘down quark’) and a ‘pump’ or ‘geyser’ on the right (typically referred to as an up quark). The drain is a negatively charged region and thus energy is drawn down into the ‘hole’ in an attempt to fill the space, while a ‘geyser’ is a positively charged region, meaning that energy flows outward from this region. It is this combination of ‘drains’ and ‘faucets’ that keep the energy current flowing within the atom which then maintains the magnet field which provides the magnetic bubble container which keeps the mass of energy within a closed energy system.

The Weird Electron

Now before we go any further, we must discuss the weird behavior being exhibited in recent years by that enigmatic ‘matter particle’, the electron. This is required because I know that someone is going to be asking ‘where is the pipe that connects the pump and the drain’, and there isn’t one, which is very weird indeed.

In recent years quarrels have been breaking out in the world of physics, in that researchers have discovered a new and very disturbing character, the tunneling electron. Yes, the tunneling electron, they say, is a tiny mass of matter, an elementary particle, that travels faster than the speed of light, thus violating Einstein’s theory of relativity. Steven Hawkings has said that either Einstein was wrong, or the Quantum physicists are wrong, because they both cannot be right. Therefore the science of physics has reached an historic impasse, and it is usually at times like this that old theories fall and new theories rise up to take their place. It was exactly this sort of situation, where new evidence failed to coexist with old models that led directly to Einstein’s theory of relativity, because it was required at that time.

Now electrons, even though they are ‘elementary mass particles’ nevertheless travel faster than the speed of light. They also have this weird habit of just suddenly popping up as if out of nowhere. No electron has ever exhibited the ‘wave particle duality’ and so therefore physicists have been forced to rely upon computer simulations of what theory predicts an electron would do if an electron would cooperate, and act like a point particle at one time, and then fly through the air like a wave at another time. This does not stop people from spreading around the story that the electron exhibits its ‘wave particle duality’ since apparently some people do not know that electrons always flunk the wave test, and that the supposed ‘matter energy duality’ of that electron is just a mathematical fiction, at least until such a time as an electron flies through the air like a wave in real life, instead of just pretending to do it in some computer simulation of how that might look, assuming that it ever actually happened.

No, the electron refuses to cooperate with the ‘uncertainty principle’ by causing everyone to feel quite uncertain about what it is actually is by flying around like a wave in one experiment and then behaving like a matter based point source in another experiment. It just behaves like a point all the time, since, apparently, the electron doesn’t suffer from any uncertainty concerning its point like properties. It has been said that an electron refuses to fly through the air like a wave because no one has yet designed the right experiment to get an electron to cooperate properly, but it is equally valid to suggest that an electron refuses to behave like a cross over ‘matter particle – energy wave’ because it is just a point in space and nothing more.

Now one of the advantages of being a point in space, and nothing more, is that you don’t have to do much traveling to get around. It is not like you existed in three dimensional space, like a matter particle would, and thus would have to travel through three dimensions to get around. When you are just a point in space and not a matter particle at all, you can be a point in space, say at coordinates x,y at one instant, and then instantly, in zero time, you can be a point in space at coordinates x2,y2. This does not require flying between points at speeds faster than the speed of light, because only matter particles would have to do that, but when you are just some one dimensional point in space, like an electron, you don’t have to do much flying to get around.

If you are an electron, merely a product of some magnetic field, and neither a wave flying through the air, nor an elementary matter particle, you can pull stunts on researchers, such as suddenly popping up out of nowhere at some point in space, and you can also become a so called ‘tunneling electron’, the product of some mass delusion that assumes that because an electron is a matter particle, it must dig tunnels through ‘matter’ to get from point A to point B, and when electrons dig those tunnels faster than the speed of light, as they have now been seen doing, that causes people to assume that the researchers were incompetent and did their experiments the wrong way, or that Einstein must have been wrong, because they both cannot be right.

Now I know that there are those who are going to insist that an electron is a mass matter based particle, because it has been measured and weighed and so on, and it has been found that an electron always has a ‘mass’ of such and such a weight. This conclusion is not based upon weighing electrons, since no one can do that, but rather upon extrapolating based upon the energy associated with that electron, and then using Einstein’s equation, E equals MC squared, it is possible to calculate the mass of matter of that electron. However it is also quite possible that a mass of energy is just a mass of energy and not the mass of a mass. When you are a just a point in space and you are also a negatively charged hole in the energy field, as is the case with that electron, you just naturally tend to attract a mass of energy towards that hole, and so I would suggest that if people are always measuring the mass of energy around that hole that would be expected for energy is always found surging towards the vicinity of some hole in the energy field, and so there would always be a mass of energy to be measured should someone decide to once again measure the mass of the matter of some electron, doing so by extrapolating on the basis of the mass of energy associated with that electron.

Now what is called a quark has also been weighed, using the exact same methods that were employed to weigh an electron. Quarks come in two sizes, the smaller negative hole in the energy field, and the larger positive faucet. Like the electron quarks must also be just points in space, but they don’t get around much and seem to be fixed at the center of the energy field within that atom, while that electron is given the task of popping up here and there within the atom to drain out some build up in density in the energy field caused by the big point source quark faucets constantly shooting energy outward like Old Faithful the geyser. We can assume that electrons get around inside some atom, since you cannot maintain an electromagnetic bubble without current flow, and you cannot maintain an even magnetic field if you are going to allow stagnant pools to develop. We can also assume that electrons get around and just suddenly, out of nowhere, pop up here and then there inside some atom because they also do the same thing in zero time in some scientist’s lab, traveling much much faster than the speed of light as they ‘tunnel’ from one location to the next, since it is impossible for a point to move around any faster than zero time, which is by definition infinitely faster than the speed of light.

Now when you are ‘energy’ and not ‘a mass’ and you are not suffering from those ‘mass delusions’ concerning space and how there are three dimensions and so on, you get around in ways that humans, suffering as they do from the mass delusion, find incomprehensible. Of course, those weird tricks with time, and slowing down clocks, doesn’t make much sense either, but people have learned to live with the idea, because they don’t have a choice, and now it would seem that they will have to learn to live with even more weirdness, and won’t have a choice, because that is just how things are in the domain of pure energy.

The results of experiment are now beginning to demonstrate that ‘space’ does not mean the same thing in an energy field as it does to a human, and when you have extra dimensions, and you are energy, you might as well exploit those extra dimensions. Space for our purposes will be the ‘zero dimension’ since space is just nothing at all, it is just a great big void of nothingness, and by definition, nothing has zero dimensions, because it is just nothing at all. We find this concept hard to understand, and it is even weirder to consider that even a dimension of ‘zero’ is in fact a dimension, and so therefore energy is able to move through zero dimensions in zero time, but only if it is the form of a one dimensional point (a vector) when it does so.

vector.gif - 3417 Bytes

On the left panel of the image above I have drawn a one dimensional vector (a straight line). It has only one dimension, L, its length. I have also included an imaginary dimension, ‘w’, which is the width of the vector line, which should be understood to be zero (w = 0), for this is a one dimensional vector. In the right panel I have drawn the vector properly, by making w = 0 and as you can see for yourself, you can no longer see the vector. It is therefore handy to add an imaginary dimension, w, the width, so that when you draw a one dimensional vector people can actually see the vector. Now if we can see then, that a vector does a dimension of zero (its width) and if we assume that space, absolute nothing, in which energy exists, also has a dimension of zero, and if we then attempt to understand that even a dimension of zero is a dimension, even if it is dimensionless, being zero after all, that is still a dimension, and so therefore if energy takes the form a one dimensional vector you can understand how it would be possible to slide a one dimensional vector into zero dimensions provided that the vector is inserted into zero dimensions on its zero dimension (in the case of this vector, it can be inserted into zero dimensions along its ‘width’.) This may sound like a screwy idea, but ‘electrons’ are observed doing this sort of thing all the time, and the more they do these things, the stronger the evidence becomes that we must accept that zero is a dimension if we are to have any hope at all of making sense out of the bizarre properties of energy..

2d.gif - 4222 Bytes

In the image to the left, you can see a two dimensional surface. It possesses two dimensions, length and width, but it possesses no height, and is therefore a surface. When showing the two dimensional surface in cross section it is customary to draw a straight line to show where the surface is, however on the right I have tilted the 2-D surface without drawing the imaginary third dimension, its height, and as you can see, just as with the vector, the 2-dimensional surface has disappeared from sight, for a 2 dimensional surface also possesses a zero dimension, its height.

3d.gif - 3367 Bytes

In the image above I have drawn a three dimensional box which possesses four dimensions. The dimensions are height, width, and length and a 3d object also possesses a fourth dimension, which is the nothingness of space which it occupies, symbolized by the sea of zeroes in the blackness around that box, to indicate that the space occupied by a three dimensional box is zero. So therefore we could state the dimensions of a three dimensional box as being, L, H. W, 0. Similarly the dimensions of a 2d surface could be stated as being L, W, 0, while the dimensions of a one dimensional vector are L,0 and finally the dimensions of the nothingness of space is 0. So we can see then that everything has at least one dimension, and that every dimension actually possesses one extra dimension beyond the ones people normally think of when they think of dimensions, the hidden, invisible zero dimension, which only appears to be hidden to human beings, but is visible to energy, or so the weird results of experiment imply.

Therefore in answer to the questions of those who have a hard time dealing with weird things such as ‘time dilation’ or ‘zero dimensions’ and ‘zero time’, and would therefore be asking ‘where is the pipe to connect the drain to the pumping faucet in your model of the atom’, I would have to reply that the drain is connected across zero space and that the outflow from a faucet occurs instantly in zero time as the flow enters the drain.

The Unified Field Theory requires the existence of zero space, and if the Unified Field Theory is correct, then it follows that zero is a dimension, and if zero is not a dimension there is no Unified Field Theory to be found here.

The Hydrogen Atom

Now that we have dealt with the weird business we can go about constructing a Hydrogen Atom using the drains and geysers illustrated above. Every atom is just like the Hydrogen Atom and differs only in the numbers of drains and pumps in the system. The next atom has twice the number of drains and pumps, the third three times as many, and so on (a straightforward linear function).

There is some asymmetry in the arrangement of pumps and drains within an atom that is required to maintain an even and consistent flow of the currents of energy within the system, so as to maintain the magnetic field which is the container for the energy that constitutes the real stuff of atoms.

hydrogen.gif - 22983 Bytes

A hydrogen atom consists of what has been called ‘the neutron’, which consists of two dark colored ‘drains’ (negative charged regions) and one larger positively charged ‘faucet’ (positive charge) such that the two drains are equally balanced to the flow of the faucet (which leads to the meaning of the term ‘neutron’, since this region of the nucleus at the center of the atom is ‘neutral’ and well balanced).
Next to the neutron is a region referred to as a ‘proton’ which consists of two large, outsized pumps, and one small undersized drain. To balance the ‘charges’ of the atom an electron is required in the outer regions of the atom, and this serves the function of keeping the energy density stable overall. Therefore, there is always one electron for each ‘neutron and proton pair’ found in the nucleus.
The positive regions are repelled by each other, while at the same time being ‘attracted’ to the negative regions, but it is impossible for a union to take place because of the mutual repulsive and attractive forces at work in both the nucleus and in the sphere of enclosed energy in the atom occupied by the electron. The electron is ‘attracted’ to the positive regions of the nucleus, while at the same time being repelled by the ‘negative’ regions. If positive and negative merge, the result would be an even field and the current would cease, the magnetic sphere would collapse, and the energy within the atom would be released, but this does not happen and atoms are stable magnetic bubbles of energy as the result.

periodicchart.gif - 4192 Bytes

The figure above is a graph of the mass of energy contained within each of the first fifteen atoms listed on the Periodic Table of the Elements. The entire table takes the form of an almost linear function (a straight line) as a certain quantity of energy is associated with a certain atom. Thus we can interpret the Periodic Table of Elements as being a density function, in that it is the density of the energy in an atom that defines an atom, and what makes ‘calcium’ different from ‘silver’ is that both have a different atomic energy density. Beginning at the bottom left we see hydrogen, followed by helium, followed by the next 13 elements on the chart. The first element, hydrogen has one ‘neutron’ and one ‘proton’ in the central nucleus, and one electron roaming the outer energy field, the second element has two neutrons and two protons, with two electrons roaming the outer energy field, and so it goes throughout the chart. It should be noted here that ‘ions’ are atoms missing electrons in the outer energy regions, and some atoms also possess forms that are variant from the standard arrangement (called isotopes).

atom_electron_pos.gif - 12542 Bytes

The greater the density of the energy contained in the magnetic bubble of the atom, the stronger the magnetic field must become to contain the energy, and thus stronger the flow of the currents of energy within the atom must become in order to maintain the magnetic field. Therefore more and more electron drains are required in the outer regions of the energy field of the atom. Fewer electron drains are required near the nucleus core, since the nucleus possesses many such drains, and more and more atoms are found in the outer regions so as to maintain a consistent density and avoid perturbations or weaknesses in the enclosing magnetic field. Electrons are also mutually repulsive and so therefore can only found in certain locations as they balance their positions within the atom against the repulsive electrical forces of other electrons.
Because of the over abundance of pumps in the nucleus, the nucleus acts like a net positively charged pump for the entire magnetic sphere, as symbolized by the brilliant core, and this positive region is attractive to electron drains, since it is the preferred state of energy to be motionless and in perfect equilibrium. However the negative forces are also present in the nucleus, as symbolized by the dark ring in the central region, and this repulsive force , along with the repulsive force of other electrons keeps electron drains spread out over the expanse of the energy contained within the atom.

When we come to the discussion of gravity it will become apparent that atoms exist within an ocean of energy, which represents the total field (atoms are single closed fields that exist within a larger total field, which we understand as being caused by ‘gravity’).

hydrogen_neg.gif - 7978 Bytes

In the top part of the image we see a single hydrogen atom, wherein the local energy density of the hydrogen atom is less than the density of the surrounding field in which the hydrogen atom exists. Thus a net negative charge exists between the energy field of the hydrogen atom and the positive (greater density) of the surrounding ocean of energy. It is one of the fundamental characteristics of energy that energy flows from positive to negative regions, and thus we can see that the atom adjust to the surrounding energy field by absorbing ‘potential energy’ from that field, until the net charge disappears.

The end result would be a more energetic hydrogen atom (for example, we could say that it is a hotter atom what we perceive as its temperature increases as it absorbs energy from the surrounding energy field. Therefore the energy density of an atom is relative to the density of the energy in the surrounding field, and it is only at absolute zero that we could speak of the normative density of an atom, which would be the energy density required to sustain the magnetic field, and no more than that.
