There are a number of links to animation files on this page that illustrate certain events that myself and others witnessed. Some of these are in real player format. These are not 'streaming media' files but are small real player files (10 to 20kb on average) that you can view, by clicking on them, or which you can download by right clicking on the link and choosing the save option. For those without the real player I have included some 'frame by frame' graphics on this page. I have also included links to files in Windows Media Player format. Some of the media file links are 'dead' which means that the animations are a work in progress. I currently have microfilms of Newspapers on order that will be arriving at the end of September, 2000, as well as microfilms of newspapers relevant to the period that I will begin scanning (page by tedious page) next week. Until then I have included links to what I have so far.

The following story describes my experiences during a 'UFO wave' (sightings that lasted for close to three months) over the town of Melville, Saskatchewan in 1974. Before I begin I thought I would mention that It was fun. It was the most glorious and exciting and interesting experience of my life to be living in Melville during that UFO wave, and I really thoroughly enjoyed it. I was really niave though and the first few disappointments are the worse. I just could never understand why people could not just enjoy and celebrate that experience thus experiencing it the same way I did, but instead it quickly became complicated and knotty and thorny. Still is I guess...The story begins here -->(Note:I am working on improving this page, and expanding upon it, since there is so much that could be said. Check back for updates in the future...)

When I was twelve I had the first of many strange experiences. I remember sitting at the dining room table doodling on a piece of paper when I had a sudden feeling of a presence entering the room. The sensation was so real that I looked up. I could see nothing and dismissed the feeling. Then I heard a voice which came out of nowhere which said, 'the telephone is going to ring. Your grandfather is dead.' A feeling of dread came over me, but I managed to calm myself by insisting that I had just experienced something similar to that 'deja vu' experience we have probably all had. I returned to drawing but I remember thinking to myself, 'I will see if anything comes of this.' Only about a minute or two went by and then I heard the telephone ring. I froze on the spot and a wave of fear came over me. My mother answered the phone. There was silence, then the sound of the phone crashing to the floor, and my mother rang up the stair steps crying. About fifteen minutes later she told me that they had called to say that my grandfather was dead. I just nodded my head. I already knew.

It took me about three weeks to recover from the experience. I remember wanting to sleep with the lights on. There were 'things under the bed' and 'things in the closet.' And every minute of every day I was surrounded by an invisible presence, which I assumed was the ghosts of the dead. Eventually I managed to calm down but the experience changed me in significant ways. I became cynical. The things I had always been taught were foolish nonsense, mere superstitions, turned out to have a reality no one in my society had ever acknowledged. The universe was weirder than I had ever imagined. I began to wonder just what other beliefs we had might be false. I started to investigate ancient mythology and religions.

A few years later my family took a vacation that brought us to Banff Park in Alberta, Canada. (Note: for the longest time I thought this all happened in Jasper Park, Alberta, which is north of Banff. But after recently recovering a letter I wrote at the time, I discovered it was Banff. Because I have so many links out there referring to 'Jasper' I have left the files named Jasper and have not changed them to Banff. There might also be some references to Jasper here and there on this site that I have not discovered yet. Think 'Banff'.) The experience I had when I was twelve had been brewing beneath the surface for several years and the more 'spiritual' I became the more miserable I became. One evening I went for a walk on a path that ran beside a stream, and I began to muse about the miserable fate that so often came upon human beings. If a small child in a poverty stricken country starved to death in a famine, that was the end of everything they could hope for in this place. As I walked, I mourned, and then suddenly I was pulled out of my thoughts by a powerful and terrifying feeling of presence. By this time the sun had set and I was in darkness. The presence seemed to be coming from above and I remember looking fearfully up at the starry sky, and then when I could stand the feeling no longer, I fled back to the safety of my campsite.

I dismissed the feeling I had on the trail. It was dark. I spooked myself. It was nothing. I laughed. And I returned to my thoughts, and I became more and more miserable. And then I remember thinking to myself, 'Knock, and it will be opened to you. Seek and you will find.' I thought, 'why not try this, and see if there is a God.' I knelt down and said three prayers, waiting each time to see if there would be an answer. There was none. 'What a waste of time it is to call on God,' I thought. I stood up. It was now about midnight. I was tired. I leaned against the side of the car, folded my arms on the hood and laid my head down to rest for a few minutes.

It was then that I felt something like ice cold water that seemed to be 'raining down' from the top of the inside of my head. This 'water' filled my head and then burst out into my neck. I then felt something like a 'tugging' at the muscles of my neck, and then before I realized what was happening, my neck muscles began to contract and my head was lifting off of my folded arms. I hardly had time to get over the shock when I noticed a bright object sitting stationary in the sky above. I was about to look away when suddenly it accelerated. There was a sound like repeated roarings, and my entire body was shaken with convulsion after convulsion. The object moved behind a small puff of cloud which was a short distance away and did not emerge. The cloud then dissolved and there was nothing there.

For several minutes I staggered about in a state of shock. And then I noticed a bright object beginning to rise above the tree tops. It was closer, extremely brilliant, and the air must have been humid for it was surrounded by shimmering halo. Because of the way a brilliant light refracts off the lens of the eye, it seemed to have four long 'spikes' of light coming off it at north, south, east, and west positions. (A rough sketch is included below). It moved slowly over head following the path of the roadway below, and I began to follow underneath. There was man doing something in the trunk of his car in the camp site next to mine, and we both watched as the object made a circuit of the sky and then disappeared behind the tree line opposite to where it appeared. A few months later I wrote a letter describing this, and many other events that took place in the months that followed, which was published in a UFO magazine located in the Okanogan region of British Columbia, Canada. They also included a sketch I made of the object surrounded by a rainbow, and mentioned that someone else had written about seeing the same object that summer in Banff Park. (Note: I recovered a letter I wrote in 1974 and this is wrong. They saw the object several years before.) It is possible that it was this man in the campsite next door to mine.(Unfortunately not.) I cannot remember the name of the magazine, only that it had a picture of a 'sasquatch' on the cover and was printed in the mid 70s. (I recently uncovered the magazine. It was called Canadian UFO Report and was published in Duncan, B.C.)

You will notice that I practiced some self censorship when writing this letter, something I remember doing to a certain extent in almost every letter I wrote at the time, because I was afraid that even what I did say wouldn't be believed. The account above is more complete. To read the text of the letter I wrote in 1974 which was published in CUFOR, click here.

About three days later my family arrived at Meadow Lake Park in Saskatchewan, Canada, and the object reappeared, and again in Prince Albert National Park. We then returned to my hometown of Melville, Saskatchewan in southern Saskatchewan, and the objects began to appear regularly over the town for the next three months, as well as throughout Southern Saskatchewan. For the first three weeks after we had returned home, I said nothing to anyone about what I had seen, because I was convinced that no one would believe me. But as the objects continued to appear more and more people began to talk about them, and I met people who had also seen strange things in the sky. It was not long before the objects were mentioned in the media.

If you were living in Melville or southern Saskatchewan at the time, and you remember seeing these objects, please share your testimony. (Note I am running an ad campaign to try and find witnesses from Melville, and from southern Saskatchewan.)

As I mentioned previously, these objects kept reappearing regularly over my hometown for a period of about three months. My brother and his friends watched a display of aerobatics down at the local park. Among other things they watched as one of these objects split into two parts with the seperate parts then speeding towards opposite horizons and disappearing. One evening I came home to find my brother crouched on his hands and knees below a bedroom window. He would get up the nerve to look out the window, and then duck back down again, and there was a look of awe and fear upon his face. As soon as I saw him there I knew that he had also seen these objects, and he shared his testimony with me. I also recall a fellow who was a friend of my brother (his first name was Craig) who used to wait in the evenings with a telescope, hoping to get a better look.

Two of the most memorable things I remember seeing in Melville were the 'red cigar' and the 'three saucers'. The red cigar shaped object was covered with multi-colored blinking lights, like a Christmas tree, and moved silently only hundreds of feet over the rooftops of the town. The three saucers were shaped like two shallow soup bowls placed together. They were hovering over a building on the other side of the ravine beside the park that is across the street from the comprehensive high school and the public junior high school in Melville. They were lined up in straight line formation and evenly spaced and each object was perfectly symmetrical. The only difference between them was color. They had a glow that resembled that of those 'glow in the dark toys'. The first one in the line was similar in color to these glow in the dark toys (a yellowish greenish color), the second was a deep crimson red, and the third was a shade of turquoise blue. They remained in position for a considerable amount of time. I walked to within several hundred feet of them (they were on the other side of the ravine, and I walked to about where the road curves around the park) and I was able to get a very close look at them through a scope on my dad's rifle which I took down to the park because it was the only 'telescope' I could get my hands on. I decided to do an experiment so I called out to whoever was in charge of the craft to bring the greenish one down from its position if they could hear me. It promptly descended to the ground and began to approach me, terrifying me so much that I dropped the gun and began to flee, at which time I called for it to stop and it promptly moved back into position beside the other two craft. It was only with the greatest difficulty that I was able to return to to retrieve the gun.

You will recall that I mentioned that I first saw these objects myself after praying to God in Banff Park, Alberta. There is a parable in Genesis which tells the story of Jacob and the ladder that reached up to heaven and of the angels he saw going up and down the ladder. Like Jacob in the story, I remember thinking, 'Surely God lives in this place and I did not know it.' I interpreted the object surrounded with the rainbow as 'the peace sign' or what Christians would call 'a covenant'. The people on these craft I considered to be those whom out ancestors would have called 'angels'.

It was at about the same time as all the above events were taking place that I turned 16 and received my first drivers licence. At first I did not notice anything amiss, until the day came when I noticed the number I was assigned. When I received the licence the number on it was,

'0 9 0 6 6 6 0 6'.

I remember the first time I saw it I thought to myself, 'not only are there angels up there, but there must be some kind of devil as well!' I have to tell you people that no one, no one could ever convince me that there are no 'devils' up there as well. This is a very rude and vicious thing to do to someone, not nice at all, and, as I said, I thought 'devil' the first time I got a look at it. Lately this number has begun to get on my nerves and I have considered seeing if it is not possible to get it changed. However, it is a piece of evidence that the rest of the story I have been telling you is the truth, and so I have always tolerated it. There is a saying, 'the righteous will live by faith' and I have never been particularly bothered by it, but I think it will eventually become a source of nothing but trouble for me, or it might trouble others, and this is probably a good enough reason to get rid of it, if it is possible to do so (I have never investigated the possibility up to now).

Several years later my family moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. One evening I got into a heated debate with my parents about faith and Christ and these craft I had seen. My mother got angry with me and said, "you stay away from such things. How do you know what they are up to." As the discussion continued I could tell that they were hostile to the subject of God. I rebuked my parents and my grandmother sharply. My brother and my grandfather had already died, and I said, "why are you so hostile? Is the idea of seeing my brother and my grandfather again so offensive to you?" As soon as I had said this the television program which was on was interrupted by a news bulletin. The police and the media had been flooded with calls by people reporting that a red ball shaped UFO was over the city. I was so spooked by the timing of this event that I immediately dashed downstairs to my bedroom and hid there for the rest of the night. A close friend of mine later told me that he had been sitting on his deck when this red ball shaped object appeared. Years later he would be with me when we saw two more of these objects at Christopher lake (see below).

To view a graphic image of a newspaper article describing this event click here.

The police station and local media were flooded with calls about this object and many people here in Saskatoon saw it. If you were one of those who saw it you can share your testimony by clicking here to send me an email.

Shortly after this event a friend of mine I will refer to as T.S. went out to Pike Lake with me (about a half an hour outside of Saskatoon). I had been telling him about my experiences with these craft and he insisted on making an attempt to see these things for himself. We were standing in a circular clearing, surrounded by trees, when seven circular white glowing objects appeared from different points around the circle. They rose over the trees and crossed paths overhead before disappearing behind the tree line on the opposite side at which they had appeared. He was horrified (he looked at me as though I was 'Frankenstein' and from that day forward he refused to speak to me).

Another friend of mine witnessed these white circular objects with me at Prince Albert National park shortly after this. I got a job as a tree planter in the mountains of Alberta one summer. The first night we were in the deep woods about fifty tree planters and myself fell silent as one of these white circular objects appeared over head. There was dead silence while it was overhead and then after it was gone someone shouted out, 'we saw a UFO'. I remember turning to a fellow next to me and saying, 'what did you think of that,' and he became very angry with me (similar reaction to the one my friend had at Pike Lake). Myself, the foreman, and four other planters were driving down a dark logging road one evening around 1 AM when the foreman announced that he needed a rest and was going to pull over by the side of the road for a while. I had an eerie premonition. When we had stopped and everyone had climbed out of the truck one of these white circular objects appeared speeding over the tree tops. The foreman stood transfixed, then commented on the great speed of the object, and then he was overcome with panic and everyone was ordered back in the truck, and tires spinning and hurling up a cloud of dust we were gone. The round white object appeared again while about twelve planters and myself were sitting around a campfire, and once again everyone fell dead silent while it was overhead. A long green shaped object also appeared, but I was the only one I know of who saw it. Naturally, if you were one of those tree planters I would appreciate it if you would send me an email.

A few years ago myself and three friends were at Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan when, after sun set, one of these white circular objects appeared over the lake. About fifteen minutes later the object reappeared and 'dive bombed' us. It at first looked like a tiny dot moving accross the sky and then it plunged downwards until it became a bright round circular object. It crossed the sky and then headed back upwards, and disappeared to a pin point and was gone. One of the friends who was with me and saw the object also saw the red ball shaped object I mentioned above.

This 'dive bombing' event has been repeated three times in the last two months (June - July 2000), twice over Saskatoon, and once about 50 kilometers outside the city. The last occurence, outside the city, was so bright, it left me 'night blind' for a few seconds. Last August (1999) another appeared in the skies over Saskatoon and it went up and down three times. Perhaps the strangest thing that I have seen lately appeared several days ago (as I am writing this - On Tuesday July 25th, 2000). It was about 2:30 in the morning. I like to spend some time every now and then sitting out in the back yard watching the stars, meditating, and remembering. On this particular Tuesday night I was about to go into the house, and had my hand on the back door handle when what I refer to as 'the Spirit of God' came on me, and said, 'don't go in the house'. I thought to myself, 'I should put this to the test and see what happens.' I returned to the back yard and I saw across the street what looked to me like an upside down cone spinning on its axis. It was moving along several hundred feet over the roof tops of the houses. One side of the cone seemed to be white and the other red so that as it spun on its axis it would be red and then turn to white and then red again. It was completely silent. Because the object was so low, although I chased after it, after about a city block I lost sight of it, the view blocked by houses and trees. It moved over Fairhaven and was heading in a roughly northerly direction. I monitored the news broadcasts and the newspaper afterwards for a report about this object but there was nothing (it was 2:30 AM on Tuesday night). However, I mention it in case someone in this city might have also seen it, and if you did, and you are reading this, please send me an email. Since these objects are still appearing periodically I would appreciate an email from anyone in the Saskatoon area who sees one.

And now for something completely different...

Over the past few years I have been trying to get people to listen to me and getting more angry and frustrated with the passage of time. The whole affair is so humiliating to me that at the moment I do not wish to speak about it, and at some time in the future I will elaborate. Let me just say that I sinned, and when you sin you develop an ugly disposition. To quote Paul, the fruits of a sinful nature include such things as quarrelling, feuds, hostility, etc. After all my ugliness and my feuds let me say that since this spring I have not watched a news broadcast such as the CBC Newsworld or CNN (I did harass those reporters something awful and I also made a complete moron out of myself in the process, which is what happens when you develop such an ugly and rebellious disposition). But as I mentioned previously I am to humiliated to write much about the events of the past few years at this time.I just mention this because it has a direct bearing on the next event I am about to describe.

Out of all the things I have to describe, this is the most embarrassing, and I believe, also the most foolish sounding, but I will relate it nevertheless. There are people living in Saskatoon will remember what I am going to call 'the great furious roaring' of Easter 2000. It was a sound coming out of the sky unlike anything anyone around here has ever heard I am sure. Believe it or not I got bawled out by God, who did not care who heard it, and the whole city shook. There were a number of these roarings, culminating in one huge sound of furious outraged indignation on Monday afternoon. I am sure that some people in the city would remember those three load roars in quick succession on the Wednesday before Easter Friday. ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! three times in a row. Unfortunately I was to stupid to figure out that I was being bawled out until a few days later I got blasted in the face by that final 'great roar' as I am calling it. For days afterward everywhere I went people had looks of absolute terror on their faces. What I find so interesting about this 'great roar at Easter' is the way that people, who knew nothing about me or what was going on, all interpreted the sound as being 'from God' as you could tell by the looks on their faces. I went to the stores in my neighbourhood and saw fear and even outright panic. I went to a loan place on 22nd street to pay a bill and saw what I could only describe as horror. My neighbours were very disturbed. As I said, it was a remarkable city shaking roar, and a sound of furious, furious, burning indignation and outrage, and it scared everybody. So to the people in this city who might have wondered what was going on, now you know. It takes a long, long, long time to get God angry, but once it happens you are REALLY REALLY sorry. I realize that this is a subject that makes people around here very uncomfortable, and when you bring it up people literally flinch and wince. Nevertheless, I extend an invitation to anyone who wishes to respond to send me an email on the subject of those frightening roars by clicking here. . By the way, not all those roarings that might be heard up there could be Yahweh. Sometimes it could be a devil as well, just keep that in mind.

Well God may knock a person down but God also picks a person up again. As the prophets used to say God bandages the wounds God causes, and, really, getting angry is the very, very last thing God ever ever wants to do. Long, long suffering and patient, that is the nature of God as I have come to know it. As the prophet Jeremiah wrote, 'God roars from heaven and the people scatter,' which seems to be just what happened. And that experience did hurt me, but unfortunately it also hurt a lot of other people based on my observations of the reactions people had, and I mention this, as foolish as it sounds, because first of all I believe that people deserve an explanation, and second, it disturbs me to think that people might believe that God has a nasty disposition at the best of times, when nothing could be further from the truth. MY experience has been (and a lot of people in this town could testify as well) that, yes, God does get angry, but my experience has shown me that it really does take a long, long time for God to get angry, and getting angry really is the last thing that God wants to do.

I have included a prophecy section on this site where I am planning to post and discuss experiences and their implications.

I describe my plans for the future (the summer of 2001) on the page UFO watch - a spiritual retreat in 2001.

As I mentioned above, for those interested in prophecy according to the Jewish prophets, I have included a short page on the subject on this site, a page which would probably make the most sense if you were familiar with both the deceptiveness of preaching (the doctrine of 'inerrancy') and some of the pages critiquing the Bible found on this site...Jewish Prophecy.
