Using the Batch Unzip window, you can scan a drive or folder for zip files by pressing the Scan Folders button. Any zip files found will be automatically added to the white grid area. You can also manually add zip files to the area by using the Select Files button. You can highlight zip files and remove them from the grid by using the Delete Button.
When you have a number of zip files listed on the white grid area you can automatically unzip them all at once, by pressing the unzip button. Only the zip files that are highlighted will be unzipped. You can quickly highlight all the zip files in the grid using the 'Select All' button. You will be prompted to indicate the folder in which to unzip all the zip files you have selected. Each zip file will be unzipped into a folder the program will create which is named after the zip file. The folder structure contained in the zip file will be automatically mimiced on disk when unzipping. After the zip files have been unzipped you may wish to move the zip files to a certain folder for storage or easy back up, and you can do this by selecting to move the zip files and then selecting the folder from the pop up box. You will be given the option of recreating the folder structure in which the zip files were found. n this case, if zip files with duplicate names were found, the program will create a folder named dupes to prevent overwriting .The program will not move zip files that are found in the WINDOWS, PROGRAM FILES, or JAVA directories, or any zip file named JAVA (some programs, like JAVA, require zip files to work correctly). The program automatically avoids overwriting previously existing files and instead skips any file that would overwrite an existing file. Zip files that have been unzipped without error will be removed from the white grid area, while those with an error will be marked with a red slash.
