Morally bankrupt Middle East policy

      Israel enjoys the unqualified support by elements on the far right of the church, who endorse the imperialist ambitions of the ancient Israelites, and the modern expression of the colonial viewpoint held by their counterparts, the right wing religious segment of Jewish society. This support has everything to do with unquestioned religious dogmatism, and such things throughout history have brought us the witch hunts, the imperialist crusades, colonialism, residential schools

      The unqualified and uncritical acceptance of scriptures promoting mass genocide of the surrounding Arab nations, colonization and imperialism, burning at the stake, and religious antipathy and hostility have never, throughout history, brought the churches anything other than a very bad reputation, which malingers in the air to this very day. It also brought the churches into the practice of routinely violating simple human rights, an offence against common ordinary decency that one would expect to result from such cruel, immoral ‘religious' policies. This blind adherence to ancient political propaganda blinds those churches to the needs of humanity, causes them to lose all empathy for their victims (which goes a long way to explain how the church became so famous for being so immoral and sadistic to humanity throughout history - their inhumane and morally compromised dogmas concerning the Bible rendered them devoid of compassion).

      The fact that inhumane conduct is found to advocated in the Bible does nothing to change the facts on the ground, nor does a Bible plug redefine evil and unloving behavior by arbitrarily redefining it as good, as ‘good' is established by divine decree on what would appear to be a case by case basis. (What the Bible recommends it also roundly condemns, and thus we can see that not only is this handling of scriptures dishonest. The Bible is falsely portrayed as uniform in its doctrines and positions - uniformly right wing in religion - when actually it is a composite, something easily demonstrated to the satisfaction of those who have not sold their souls to religion.)

      For these reasons it is my plan to continue to examine the nature of the Biblical manuscript and the ideologies of its authors, in the hopes of contributing something to ‘the peace process' by exposing the hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of Biblically based inhumanity and immorality. It is my opinion that no evil deed should be allowed to go unquestioned simply by the device of transferring responsibility for such conduct onto God (with the command of God the call to genocide, or imperialism, rabid racist rants, and other Bible advocated policies that are cold hearted cruelty and hostile to what it means to be human, thus justifying those who choose to practice these things - they have now become divine, in the image of God, for, as religious propaganda would have people believe, God is also just this very cruel).

      Religion is only one element in the current conflict, and the kind of dogmatic and unyielding, unprincipled, and dishonest religious dogmatism just described only throws fuel on a fire already burning, ignited by the needs of global politics in the overall context of the cold war. The purpose of religion in this scenario would be to justify Israel, and its policies, while demonizing the Palestinians (this demonization, followed by calls for complete and ruthless genocide of surrounding nations is so typical of the ancient politics of the Totalitarian theocracy described in the Bible.) Thankfully, we have not gone full scale into the practice of the Bible, so we have not yet been treated to the kind of vulgar racism, lewd political ‘Holy War' propaganda (an oxymoron if there ever was one), nor have we yet been subjected to the kind of large scale murder, torture, theft, rape, plunder and pillage advocated in the Bible, which is at least one small measure of relief. While the ‘morality' of the murderous state policies described in the Bible is obviously corrupt, and no one (we hope) would actually want to do these wicked things anymore, hypocrisy in the right wing religious position becomes self evident when you consider how the imperialist ideology of this ancient war policy are nevertheless kept intact, even if, for reasons of common morality, not one wants to follow through on the mass murder required to fulfill the ideology. Instead, as is so typical, what we are treated to is a scaled down version of this ancient call to genocide, a few people shot each day, killing and racism and oppression on a small scale. The ideology remains, but its implementation is (suitably?) watered down.
