Muslims outraged at Southern Baptists.

A leading Islamic group demanded Tuesday that the Southern Baptist Convention condemn "bigoted" and "hate-filled" statements made by one of its pastors. During a pastors' conference Monday evening, the Rev. Jerry Vines, pastor of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Fla., told conventioneers that many of this country's problems can be blamed on religious pluralism. Pluralists "would have us to believe that Islam is just as good as Christianity, but I'm here to tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that Islam is not just as good as Christianity," Vines, a former SBC president, told several thousand delegates at the gathering in St. Louis. "Islam was founded by Muhammad, a demon-possessed pedophile who had 12 wives - and his last one was a 9-year-old girl. And I will tell you Allah is not Jehovah either. Jehovah's not going to turn you into a terrorist that'll try to bomb people and take the lives of thousands and thousands of people."

A spokesman said, "The Southern Baptist Convention does not want to give the sense that we are not sensitive or caring about this issue."

In introducing Vines at a separate speech Tuesday, outgoing SBC president James Merritt said Vines is "my hero ... he is a prince of preachers." The Rev. Jack Graham, elected the SBC's new president on Tuesday, refused to repudiate Vines' comments. "His statement is actually a statement that can be confirmed," said Graham, a Texas pastor. "I believe the statement is an accurate statement," he said, adding that people should be careful, "just who you are following and what you believe."

So then, to make a few verifiable and accurate statements of my own. Just who is the Christian God anyway. Let me tell you, any half decent God is not going to turn people into terrorists who go around threatening to burn in fires most of India, indeed just about all the planet. Moses was an advocate of pedophilia and rape. "So you spared the women? Kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man and kill all the males among the little ones, but keep the virgins for yourselves. Divide them up evenly.' Just what kind of religion is it that encourages people to become raping murderous terrorists who plunder and kill thousands, yes even tens and hundreds of thousands of people, anyway? And was Moses advice taken. Certainly. 'And they found young virgins and carried them off to Jabesh Gilead.' Let me tell you, God is not that Christian God. My statements, I should point out, are truthful and accurate. They can be confirmed.

I have been listening for months to some of the most hypocrical statements coming spewing out of the mouths of Christian speakers, and it is just more than I can stand. Muslims are violent. The Koran is full of terrorism and violence. I won't be a defender of the Koran here. Read it yourself or consult the link above. And don't forget to read the Bible as well, or follow the link above. Both these books are filled with violence. Apparently the gods are useless as tits on a bull, which is why gods are always telling people to murder, war, and kill, gods apparently having a broken arm or something. Yet, to listen to Christians shooting their mouths off about the Koran is more than any educated person should be expected to stomach. The level of hypocrisy in this place never ceases to amaze me...

By the way, while Southern Baptists, and others, are indulging themselves in more of that offensive blind Christian hypocrisy, someone might ask them if they have ever actually read the Bible...

Their leaders are dismayed, for they have been trapped and snared. But they rejected the Word of YAHWEH, so what kind of wisdom did they have..." The prophet Jeremiah damns Leviticus and the Torah.

"Woe to you, you scribes and pharisees, you hypocrits. You nullify the prophets for the sake of your traditional doctrines, and you do many other things just like that..." The Gospel of Mark, so beloved by Southern Baptists I am sure, condemns the religious ministers of the day for their hypocritical misuse of the Bible...
