Osama bin Laden has surfaced to validate the U.S. plans for an attack on Iraq. bin Laden, helpfully lauds his 'partnership' with Iraq on the probably non-existent latest from the Prince Of Evil. (Note that this was written on the morning that Colin Powell announced the existence of a bin Laden tape supposedly linking Saddam and Osama. On the actual tape bin Laden refers to Saddam as an infidel.)

One might recall the various bin Laden messages as they were called, that surfaced just in time to justify the bombing of Afghanistan. In the picture below some overweight actor played bin Laden in the notorious video tape, gloating over the destruction caused on 9-11 and talking about how happy he was that the buildings actually fell down and so on...WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A message has surfaced believed to be Osama bin Laden claiming a "partnership with Iraq," U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said Tuesday. Powell said he reviewed a transcript of the message, which he said was to air on Al-Jazeera, the Qatar-based Arab satellite news network. "(Bin Laden) speaks to the people of Iraq and talks about their struggle and how he is in partnership with Iraq," Powell said at a congressional hearing. Asked for reaction, Al-Jazeera denied that it had such a bin Laden message and said that it was a rumor that has been circulating for several weeks. But Powell seemed to be taking the message seriously, telling lawmakers they would be hearing it "during the course of the day" on Al-Jazeera.
Today, the CIA director insists that not only is Al Queda in Iraq, they are also deeply involved with Iran, which, of course, means that once Baghdad is polished off, we can expect to 'shock and awe' Iran as well. Over the last year the leadership of Iran has been playing the appeasement game with the United States, signing agreements for example, to allow United States use of Iranian air space during the attack on Iraq, giving refuge to troubled American fighter planes, arresting and deporting Taliban that crossed the border into Iran, and just generally talking all the time about how much they are against terrorism. It would seem they are in a semi-delusional state there in Iran, even though it is obvious, and has been obvious for close to a year now, that after Baghdad, they are next in line, as their now being announced 'partnership with al Queda' demonstrates.
In his statement the CIA chief also announces that al Queda is preparing to gas, poison, and infect Americans, probably sometime later this week, but the administration is also sending out mixed messages, for we are also informed that these warnings are not intended to frighten Americans, who should just go on with their daily lives, except that perhaps they might consider stockpiling water (you know, in case the terrorists poison the wells).

In the meantime it turns out that some of Powell's evidence presented the United Nations was plainly fraudulent, and that the administration is engaging in perjury and deception. For example one so called chemical weapons factory was actually visited three times by the weapons inspectors in the last couple of months, and is not in fact a factory for manufacturing weapons of mass destruction, and just to drive the point home, reporters were also taken on a tour of the joint this week. As it was said, Powell was no Adlai Stevenson, since you see, during the Cuban missile crisis, Stevenson presented actual evidence, which was not phony. One must also ask, that if these things really are the deadly weapons facilities they were alleged to be, why it is that the United States did not bomb them long ago, and why it would be the case that the United States did not promptly send weapons inspectors to expose the smoking guns. The fact of the matter is that weapons inspectors have inspected and found nothing out of the ordinary.Tenet's public testimony comes as the United States threatened military action against Iraq and North Korea has threatened to resume its nuclear program.
"We see disturbing signs that al Qaeda has established a presence in both Iran and Iraq," Tenet said. "In addition we are concerned that al Qaeda continues to find refuge in the hinterlands of Afghanistan and Pakistan."
The level of political debate in the run up to (next week's) war with Iraq is at the lowest level I have ever seen, outdoing even the baby in the incubator story that was deliberately concocted for Gulf War One. One might also recall that the Balkans war in Yugoslavia was preceded by a pretext. You might recall the terrible photos of skinny looking people staring out from behind the barbed wire in the concentration camps. The truth here turns out to be that this was a refugee camp, not a Nazi concentration camp, and that barbed wire was surrounding a tool shed. The photographer went into this area and then shot the crowd from behind this barbed wire to give the impression of a concentration camp, and this famous photograph was used as a pretext for the war in Yugoslavia. (There hasn't been an Adlai Stevenson around here in quite some time, rather given the way the media follows the official line, we have some of the most shocking frauds and perjury committed fearlessly time and time again, and this time is nothing new, only that we seem to be sinking to an even deeper level into the muck than what would typically be the case for America. One really has to feel sorry for the typical media fed America who actually believes all this and continues to believe it until by some miracle they find out it is all fraudulent. I say 'by some miracle' since the media, with those occassional exceptions, doesn't consider such falsifications to be worth reporting.)

Let us hope that if Al Jazeera doesn't get bombed in Iraq, like they Pentagon bombed them in Afghanistan, that we can all 'look forward to' Hiroshima photos from Iraq, and Iraq war casualities zipped. This is especially true given that Bush is already preparing the American people for the casualities about to result from the 'shock and awe' multiple Hiroshima bombardment of Iraq by floating the story that Saddam is using civilians as human shields, which pretty much explains why that 'precision bombing' myth, so popular with the military since they got dragged through the mud in Vietnam, well that just didn't work this time, given that Saddam used civilians as human shields. Get ready for this one to hit the airwaves in the near future, as many Iraqis die, just as millions of Vietnamese were slaughtered. I seriously doubt if the people destroying these human lives will be losing much sleep over what they have done, human life being expendable after all, as you can see given how close to 40 million people are starving to death in Africa right now, in a famine that was warned about for over a year now. Expect the country of Eritrea to practically disappear off the map, since 70 per cent of the population is at risk, and it is now to late to save them.
