On a side note I have a few questions of my own about some of the weird things that have been going on lately. Now I have was listening to Barrie Zwicker on the Hamiliton Indy site, and he said something that riveted my attention. He said, 'Vision TV is facing severe financial problems and thus the new season is not likely to start before January of next year (instead of starting in the fall as usual). At the same time I have noticed that the focus of preaching on Christian television has turned heavily towards fund raising (not that they are not always fund raising, but their seems to be a particularly adament edge to the appeals lately). A 'prophet' (as he was called) appeared on the Toronto Airport Christian fellowship program, and in addition to the usual palm reading (he predicted that one person would become a rock star and another would invent something that would make a lot of money) the whole of that 'prophet's' prophecy seemed to be about giving money to churches (on the grounds that then God would 'open up the flood gates of financial blessing'). This sort of thing is typical for Christian programming, and when one considers that a pie can only be cut into so many pieces, the self evident phony economics underlying such a superstitious appeal for funds become obvious. That is why this fund raising nonsense is usually accompanied by a lot of talk about 'waiting on God' since most Christians are just going to notice that they have less money in their wallet after 'investing in heaven' and that no, the money did not come pouring in, and that no, their isn't more pie. This is at least acknowledged on the John Hagee show, where he spoke the other day about 'financial blessings' for writing those checks and then went on about 'taking land that is not yours, vineyards you didn't plant' and in general just 'dispossessing the nations' which is the only way to really get a bigger piece of pie and at the same time not violate the simple laws of economics. the TBN network is also in the middle of a one month 'improve the network' crusade, with viewers encouraged to write in about what shows they would like to see kept and what cancelled and taken off the air, so that TBN can become 'your network' and 'you can make a difference in what you see on TBN'.

Well all this considered together has had me asking questions about just what is really going on behind the scenes, considered in the light of what has really been going on within the churches for the last year, ever since that notorious Eden Wing Stunt that was pulled off, much to the shocked suprise of some people I would imagine, on Earth Day 2001, during the Summit of the Americas. This shaking taking place in the churches is significant not just for what it means for the future of the church, but it is also politically significant, because it might prove to be hard to get a Republican elected dog catcher in some districts once the vote that has been held together by the religious right and Christian broadcasting begins to fragment and disintegrate.

Now this is of particular relevance to churches, but it is also, long term, relevant to everyone else as well. And you only need to consider the powerful forces at work behind the scenes to understand why this might be the case. For example there is this whole notion of a prophet in those churches, and judging by what i have seen over and over again for years (having been a protestor in the midst of the church since 1996) a 'prophet' is basically a palm reader of sorts (you are going to become a rock star, and so on). Meanwhile, as an aside, tens of thousands of babies are starving in Southern Africa and have been for months now, Malawi was forced to sell their emergency food stocks by the IMF last year to keep up on their payments, something that should concern a prophet, but I have been listening for months, and those church prophets have been busy as their usual selves, reading palms, and now also attempting to pry open those wallets. I feel it is important to mention the role of the IMF in force selling those emergency food stocks because the argument you will hear is that we cannot help the starved masses because the governments are corrupt, and that is why the appeal, as appeals always are, is only funded to 13%, and people are quietly starving to death off the radar screen you might say, not to mention off the religious television screen, where prophets are to busy fund raising when they aren't reading palms. But I am not surprised by those 'prophets' not having been born yesterday after all. It is also interesting to note that the Toronto Airport Christian fellowship has a magazine and its current issue is devoted entirely to 'prophets' and how to tell a prophet, and how to reject one as well.

Now according to a line in that Airport Fellowship article, some prophets just 'tap into what the enemy is going to do' being, I suppose, a prophet of the devil after all.

In order to understand what is going on below the surface, behind the veil, in those churches, you would need some background information. First of all that Eden Wing banner that I unfurled at that summit was a prophecy. The prophecy was made on Friday evening, and the press would know all about that, having recieved that 'press release'. I just mention this in case someone wants to suggest that it was not a 'prophecy' when clearly it was, and quite a stunt as well. This event was significant not only because pulling a crazy stunt like that is news worthy but also for the long term ferment it is causing in the churches coast to coast, and also for the growing financial difficulties it is causing the religious right wing (thus causing the Republicans some political problems as well - hopefully a 'war on terrorism' might help to plug that hole in the leaky dike though, one must think they are thinking...) This is also significant because the press committed a sin at that time, not to mention politicians, but they sin lots at the best of times, and of course ministers and churches from coast to coast, well they sinned as well. And once people sin and get some of that sinful guiltiness on themselves, well next they sin more and more, adding oppression onto oppression and sin onto sin, and the whole thing gets worse, and they get worse at the same time, too.

As stupid as that Earth Day stunt might have seemed to people not used to such strange interventions, it nevertheless is politically significant whether you would like to pretend that it is or not, since there is this place known as a church, and churches are politically significant, no matter what the opinion of faith among certain sects of leftists (for example) might be (a rebuke here - certain leftist sects act just like certain Christians - by this I mean they are narrowly dogmatic, and do not allow conflicting information or evidence to intrude upon the 'pure truth' not a good policy in the strange times in which we are living...)

Now add onto this one Eden Wing stunt, the prophecies I made on Earth Day, and one can begin to understand the impact on churches from coast to coast, who do after all, being churches, listen to prophets, although up to now they have been listening to palm readers, the same types who continue to read palms even in the midst of famine and disaster, and who never speak out against injustice or political corruption, as I noted above. On earth day I made a series of prophecies that have been the subject of many sermons on Christian television for the last two months, which indicates to me just how much impact those prophecies are having at the grass roots level. First I predicted that before the end of the year you people would be at war, having had some of your buildings blown up and knocked down. The politicians and the religious preachers would put on a big show of mourning and the religious war hawks would come out in full force, demanding attacks on Muslims nations, and I think I recall mentioning Iran. A giant flag would be featured on Christian television, so huge that it was the size of three story house (this happened on TBN by the way, much to my amazement). Then I stated that around spring 2002 the first signs of Eden would appear, but everything would move gradually, very slowly, while yeast was mixed into the bread dough and began to rise. Now the Toronto Airport interpretation of the previous prophecies was that i 'tapped into the power of Satan' and just predicted what Satan was going to do, based on what I read in their brand new prophecy magazine issue. However that Eden thing requires some other explanation. The religious right would begin to collapse and face severe financial problems, I said, not hard to predict by the way, but rather something that could be seen coming from a long way off. The earth would begin shaking, at which time one should begin to worry about a California earthquake. And I might have said a few other things that I no longer recall, but nevertheless those prophecies have flying around all over the place in churches, and have now become the subject of repeated sermons, attack sermons and apologetic attacks of course, which tells me a lot about what is going on behind the scenes. And Vision TV, which broadcasts many fine programs, also broadcasts the religious right (its licence is to be a multi-faith system) and now I hear that Vision TV is having financial problems, while also noticing the way certain programs have disappeared and been replaced by documentaries, a sign of the shape of things to come by the way, which makes me wonder what they are going to do long term. The Miracle Channel a one faith channel is also in the red, having spent that one million dollar donation they got from some big business, which makes me think that if Christian broadcasting is going to survive they will have to start schilling corporations, which would be pointless by the way, given that they won't be able to deliver the goods any more.

I bring this all to your attention to inform you of what is going on behind the scenes and the ferment that is taking place in the church, and also to point out to you that the press is also complicit, having decided that the Eden Wing stunt was not news, when just about any stupid thing can be news, and that certainly was. As I said before once people get bogged down in a sin they then begin to pile sin onto sin and guilt onto guilt in a vicious circle spiralling downwards. And its reflected in their behavior.

For example consider how both the first signs of Eden began slowly appearing this spring, as was suggested they would, and that at the same time California began to quake. Hardly a coincidence by the way. This is the sort of thing that affects churches, which affects American politics, which affects American policy, which affects Wall Street and other powerful interests, who are used to being free to set policy and so, no matter how people may want to try to dismiss it all as irrelevant it is important and as time goes by it will continue to become more and more signficant, simply because churches were made significant, for political reasons, when so many preachers decided to forge a right wing political movement and used the church to do it. They made a mistake there, but then I suppose they thought they would never be challenged and never caught red handed doing it. But things have been going badly since Earth Day 2001, and now they are just getting worse. And tommorrow is another day.

Even the press, caught in sinfulness and guilt and trapped in a closing snare as they are, have turned to spinning. For example CNN in addition to trying to spin the 9-11 investigation story also tried to spin the California earthquake story. According to that spin doctoring, sure, the earth was quaking, but it was normal for California. You expect that. Actually what is happening is not normal, and having been a watcher of Earthquakes for a long time I can say that in no way is what is happening normal, but actually its alarming.

A more reasonable less spin doctored interpretation of the California Earthquake situation was the following

April 18, 2002 (AP) - Scientists say they aren't sure whether a surge of recent quakes, including one that hit Thursday morning north of San Francisco, is good news or bad for the Bay Area ... Some say the small temblors could be a precursor to an upcoming major quake, while others claim the quakes could relieve some of the strain and actually delay the inevitable monster quake ... we can't tell from the recent quakes in the North Bay whether the stresses are building up, or whether they're being relieved," said geologist David Schwartz of the U.S. Geological Survey ... Meanwhile, the earth keeps shaking ... Ninety percent of California buildings do not fully meet current standards for seismic safety design, according to Chris Poland, the institute's president."


I am also hearing a lot about 'global warming' and as time goes by, and strange changes continue to take place on the Sahara, or Eden as I always call it, no doubt the press will dig an even deeper hole for themselves by going on about global warming, and even churches, who also sinnned and snared themselves, are talking up global warming, not having much else that they can do, except repent, but sinful guiltiness makes repentance very difficult, does it not?

I bring this all to your attention just because it is another unreported story, the story about what is going on behind the scenes in churches, and which is not just going to go away. The real damage has already been done, and from this point on everything is just a matter of time. There is nothing that is hidden that can ever be concealed. Those who are planning the resurgence of fascism are going to facing the increasingly difficult task of doing so with a disturbing prophet around and a disturbed church, with all the political problems this entails, not to mention all that disturbing shaking in California and that disturbing desert and its disturbing changes. As for the western farmers, I have to wonder if they should even bother putting seeds into the dried browned out ground this year. And tommorrow is another day, and another problem, and another trap and snare. And the dryness is once again settling in over the rockies. I hear talk now about how El Nino is going to return, and so no doubt that dryness in the mountains, not to mention the terrible fire problem, can be somehow blamed on El Nino or El Nina if one should happen to show up. And the mad cow problem , who knows where that could be going. Then there is the West Nile Virus and the constant winter long flooding of the mid section of the country. 'West Nile' I just cannot get over the symbolism inherent in the words 'West Nile' (or 'West Egypt' for that matter).
