Watch for pictures of Jupiter coming in over the next few months at the Jupiter picture site at JPL or at a mirror location the Cassini Imaging Science team at the University of Arizona, Tucson. You can also visit the The Cassini spacecraft home page.

You can visit Joni Mitchell's website here.

I recieved some unexpected plugs in some Internet 'e-zines' lately. My site was mentioned in the e-zine published by the Cosmiverse site, which contains a lot of great space related links, links to info and photos from the Hubble space telescope, and also a link to the SETI project, and the SETI at home project, which probably explains the unexpected plug my site recieved in their e-zine.

My site also received mention in the October 30th, 2000 issue of the NetSurfer Digest. They usually have an interesting and eclectic collection of links to interesting sites on the web, so I usually do some surfing off of the links on their e-zine, which I receive by email. You can subscribe to NetSurfer Digest by following this link, or surf through the links in their back issues by following this link, or read the October 30th, 2000 issue (which is the current issue as I am writing this, and the issue in which they mentioned my site). Some stats : Controlled E-mail Circulation: 85,701 as of September 1, 2000 Additional Estimated Web Readership: 30,000-40,000

And don't forget to visit Squirrels R Us also available through this Squirrel mirror location. This site is part of the Rainy Day Webring. (People do seem to enjoy reading my Biblical analysis, and that's one way to kill a rainy day, don't you think.) And don't forget to check out the Squirrels R Us Webring for even more Squirrels. And don't forget to sign her guestbook. She just got a new one and it is looking empty, which can be embarrassing. I know how she feels, as I just set one up a few days ago, and its still empty (feel free to drop off your URLs or comments, by email, on the guestbook, or the message board...)

Religious study resources

At the top of my list, is The New Testament Gateway. (You could spend the rest of your life following the links off of this site.)

New Testament Gateway

The University of Toronto has a page of links to religious study resources. Or consider visiting WLU Department of Religion and Culture - Religious Studies Internet Links

The following sites contain information about and writings by the Jesus Seminar. Jesus Seminar Forum, The Jesus Seminar, Jesus Seminar Description.

Links to a variety of faith groups and religious study links can be found at the Vision Tv website.

Spiritual search engines and link sites

As a general rule, I get kicked off Christian search engines, web rings, and link sites, so I have been searching the web for alternatives.

I have located a popular spiritual website with lots of discussion boards and forums - Beliefnet.com. I made a few posting there myself in hopes of generating some traffic and some discussion of my site. It is listed by Alexa What's related as in the top 20000 or so sites on the net, so it generates a fair amount of traffic.

MY site has been indexed by the following specialized spiritual search engine - the Godserver directory located at God Server.

My site has been indexed by the spiritual search engine, New Age Web Works, located at New Age Info.

I have also been included on the following search engine, The Spirit Search Directory, 'The Spiritual, Metaphysical and Paranormal Directory for the Age of Enlightenment'.

The Spirit Search Directory
Spiritual - Metaphysical - Paranormal
http://spiritsearch.com

My site has also been listed with the alternative metaphysical search engine located at AvatarSearch.

I located another paranomal search engine, as is typical for such engines they listed my site at Paraseek. Thanks a lot.

Search Engines

My site is listed on the Matilda search engine...

AAA Matilda Australia

AAA Matilda Canada

My site has been listed on NBCi LiveDirectory. (I believe this used to be called 'Snap.')

I have also been listed with the WhatsNU search engine.

Another search engine listing my site is Jayde.

I also have a posting at Links2go.com.

My site has been listed on the directory Zeal.com in the catagory Culture + Issues > Religion > Spirituality .

My pages have also been indexed at Altavista.

In the hopes that it might help to promote my site, I have also posted a few short articles to a self publishing site, ThemeStream.

The Bible Code

At this site you will find a discussion of the mathematics of the Bible code, and the page discussing codes found in Moby Dick is located here, as discussed on my page the Bible Code. A reader also sent in a link to a page on the Bible Code found in a Yahoo Club, and this page has even more links to material on the Code.

The Christ Myth

I have located one page (in all my searching) that provides an opposing point of view in the Christ myth debate on the Web (or visit the authors home page here). By the way I do not endorse this author's site, as it is a Christian apologetics site and very conservative. (More links on this subject would be welcome).

The following sites all promote
the Christ myth theory.

The Christ Conspiracy page is located here, or you can visit the authors home page here. An essay on the subject by the same author is located here.

The Jesus Puzzle site focuses on both the 'silence of history' and the borrowing theory.

Here you will find a page of links to books that promote the Christ Myth theory which you can purchase from Amazon.

Books on line

The World English Bible project provides a copyright free, updated version of the ASV of 1901 at their site.

The writings of Spinoza can be found online here.

The writings of the early church patriarchs can be found at this site (among many others.)

Gnostics and mysticism on line

Links to online noncanonical Christian scriptures (those that did not make it into the Bible) are located here. Note that this server seems to be unpredictable, and sometimes the link doesn't work. I am going to supplement it with other links.

Links to resources related to the early Gnostic sects in the church are found here, and links to on line Gnostic texts are found here.

The following is a link to a feminist ecological site . The site is part of a gnostic web ring so I mention it here.

Atheists on line

If after visiting this site (evangelical in its own way) you feel you might need to refresh your atheism, you can always visit The Secular Web - infidels.org, or you can go straight to their page on Christianity. You can also visit the following page, which describes itself as presenting Christianism : freethought heresy theology blasphemy rationalism atheism history theology anthropology, or you can visit Cygnus' Study - Debunking the Bible.

Links to Hindu resources
and scriptures on the net.

This site contains links to Hindu scriptures in English translation. The last time I checked the Mahabharata was not yet up.

You can also find links to Hindu texts and Hindu Internet sites by visiting this site.

An abridged version of the Mahabharata is located here.

Hundreds of links to Hindu resources on the web can be located by visiting The Hindu Students Home Page or by directly consulting their links page.

I have been unable to locate a copy of the Harivamsa on line, which relates the story of the birth narrative of Krishna. Any info would be welcome. (You will have to consult the library at your local university to read the account yourself.)

Links to a general index
of texts online.

Texas state university provides a page of links to search engines and data banks for those seeking Books on Line.

A similar list of resources focusing exclusively on religious studies can be found here.

A list of links to online religious texts is found at this site, and a similar site linking to even more sacred texts online is at this site.

The WorldWide School project is another source for books on line. If you need some quick facts you can visit Brittanica.com or you can visit their more detailed pay-for-use service (5 bucks a month) the Encyclopedia Brittanica. You will find them to be conservative in matters of religion, but then they are in the business of selling encyclopedias, not angering people, but, like I said, if you need to quickly find the date of such and such a thing, you can head over there.

Learn HTML

If you want to make your own website, and do not know HTML, then I recommend J. Barta's site. There is a simple introduction to HTML on this site, and more advanced material covering tables, that is easy to understand and easy to learn.

All you must have to create a page is a simple text editor like Notepad, but this site was created using Hotdog 6.1.

You can find even more information on web site creation at the irt.org - Home Page. Other interesting sites include HTML Master's Reference, or Build Your Own Website - Methods, Tools and Techniques, and HotWired: Webmonkey.

When you begin to wonder how to promote your site, you might consider visting Search Engine Watch, or the following page at WDVL, WDVL: How in the World (Wide Web) will they Find me?.

Software links

To play the animation clips on this site you will need to download the Real Player available from Real.com. A minimal download (just the real player component) is about 4 megabytes. If you prefer you can view the clips in Windows Media format. Most computers already have a player that can handle files in 'AVI' or 'MPG' format, but should it be the case that you do not, you can download the Windows Media Player here.
The animations were made using Main Actor Video Software.

Links submitted by readers

A reader interested in UFO technology submitted the following link to his home page, UFOlight.

A reader who takes an opposing point of view, and believes that the Bible proves that the resurrection was a hoax, sent the following URL which leads to a page of links to various essays - Ancient Israel.

A reader submitted the following URL which links to a spirituality club and home page at Delphi - Makanakai. This is a very busy forum.

And I have also done a link swap with the 'Save the World' website (by the way, this is not a religious website, but rather it seems to be run by some idealistic young people).

Another reader submitted a link to a Christian website with a sense of humor. It is always nice to get some positive feedback from the church.
