Part Two : The collapse of the 'silver' economies

The following is a continuation of the discussion of the sacred dream and also of a preliminary attempt I made at interpreting this sacred dream.

The dream was composed of three separate parts. The second part of the sacred dream referred to the Indian Ocean Tsunami, and thus in hindsight, this has revealed to me some principles for interpreting these sacred dreams, which could prove useful if I should ever experience such a dream again (or if anyone else experiences such a thing, and has as much trouble interpreting the meaning of such as a dream as I have had).

In the second part of the dream there were a number of curious details that caught my attention and gave me cause to ponder the meaning of such strange and seemingly out of place details. For example, there were workers who were working outside a factory, and were digging at the ground using simple tools. I remember puzzling over this strange detail, for why were the workers not in the factory, but instead they were working outside and digging at the soil. The earth rose up and assumed the form of a rushing wave of water. This was also strange since only water behaves like that and the earth does not. With hindsight, I can see that the symbol of people ‘working the earth' outside the factory, rather than working in the factory, can be linked to the profile of the type of people who were hurt by the Tsunami (they were on the lowest end of the economic scale and made their living ‘off the land' in a type of subsistence economic environment. The connection between the earth and the giant wave also makes sense in retrospect in that an earthquake triggered the Tsunami.

What I assume then is that by focusing on this puzzling details it could be possible for a person to decipher what seem to be the strange symbols in such a sacred dream, if attention is focused on the troubling and seemingly out of place details.

Silver and Gold

With that being said, I have found myself disturbed by troubling details in the first part of the sacred dream and this leads me to attempt a reinterpretation, this time focusing on those details in an attempt to understand what this might have meant, and I am encouraged to do so given how closely the details in the second part of the sacred dream paralleled something which actually did happen.

The first troubling detail is that while I was dreaming that the silver smelting operation had exploded I was under the impression that the factory had been bombed by the Dragon. So that was an attack of some kind. I remember reacting by thinking to myself, ‘the economy is ruined.' The second troubling detail that I have been wrestling with deals with the fact this was silver. Why silver? Why not Gold? So I assume that it was silver for a reason, since the details seem to be very significant in interpreting such a dream. And the third troubling detail has to do with the rain of molten silver which then began falling from the sky, and although the drops of silver were molten, they were warm but not hot, so I was not harmed.

Now if we assume that this dream refers to the American dollar, as I assumed in my preliminary analysis of the content of this part of the dream, then I think that one would expect a gold smelter to explode, not a silver smelter, since it seems unlikely that the American dollar would be represented by silver. Which would mean that my preliminary analysis would be incorrect.

We know that it is common practice to refer to the economic systems present today using terms such as ‘first world', ‘second world', and ‘third world', with third world referring to the poorest of nations. So then perhaps we could also use terms such as gold, silver, and bronze to represent these economies. If we do that then we can see that ‘silver' could refer to ‘the second world', or medium income nations which are neither the poorest of all nor are they as rich as the ‘gold' nations such as the United States and Europe.

One might recall how corporate profits were in trouble in the late Clinton Administration, and a host of these corporations began deliberately falsifying their accounting books to hide the fact that they were losing money. George Bush has also presided over the greatest amount of job losses since the Hoover administration during the start of the last Great Depression. The Bush administration has used various tools in an attempt to prevent a melt down in the American economy, including almost zero per cent interest rates, resulting in a credit boom, particularly when it came to mortgage financing, combined with an aggressive low dollar policy, which encourages exports and discourages imports, making American based industries more competitive, and thus more likely to sell, create jobs, and thus report profits instead of more of those bad losses. A low dollar policy is a form of economic war fare, since it takes money away from nations that might otherwise import into the United States, and thus a transfer of both wealth and jobs takes place which favors the United States and is not in the best interests of these nations who can no longer export goods to the United States.

When we consider all this it brings to mind an interpretation of the first part of the sacred dream which actually seems to make sense, and encapsulates those troubling details.

As one example of a ‘silver' country, we might consider China. Nations such as China depend on cheap exports to nations such as the United States, and these inexpensive products then make American products less competitive, and the result is the loss of American jobs. So then we could assume that the aggressive, militaristic economic policies of the Bush administration are about to bear fruit, one might say, by exporting America's economic crisis to these ‘silver' countries. This would explain the metaphor of an aggressive attack, a bombing of that silver production smelter, with the resulting decline in these economies described by the explosion. As for the warm, but not hot, rain of molten silver, this would explained by the fact the collapse of those silver economies while it would have an affect on the gold economies, nevertheless the net effect is to the benefit of the gold economies, which therefore are not burned by the collapse of those silver economies, caused by exporting the economic problems of those gold countries making them now the problem of those silver countries, who have less opportunity for mounting the type of militant and aggressive economic policy we see being practiced by the Bush administration, as they try various tactics to fend off what was an imminent collapse in the American economy. The price of this recovery would then be seen to have been the destruction of the silver economies, indeed a deliberate policy of destroying those silver economies, through the form of an attack against them (the aggressive low dollar policy), in order to save the gold.
