There are multiple indicators that point to an upcoming attack on Iran.

Reports have come out that American commandos have been operating in Iran seeking intelligence information for an upcoming attack on Iran by the United States.

Iran rejects US operations claims Iran has dismissed a report in the US media that US commandos are conducting missions on Iranian territory to identify targets for possible strikes.Supreme National Security Council spokesman Ali Aghamohammadi said it would be naive to believe the report, which he called psychological warfare...US President George W Bush says he does not rule out force against Iran...The Pentagon ... has not categorically denied that US troops have been on the ground in Iran...the Teheran Times... dismissed the story as a "ridiculous bluff".It said the US and Israel knew that attacking Iran would be biting off more than they could chew, and would only choke them if they tried it.The paper warned that Iran had acquired massive military might and was prepared to attack any intruder with a fearsome reign of fire and death.

The story provoked a reaction in the Tehran Times.

No country dares to attack Iran due to its deterrent military capabilities: Shamkhani TEHRAN (MNA) -- Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani said on Monday that due to the power of its flexible strategy, Iran has attained military strength such that no country dares to attack it because no country has been able to determine Iran's military might. "We can claim that we have rapidly produced equipment that has resulted in the greatest deterrent," the defense minister added.

Futile espionage TEHRAN (MNA) -- U.S. journalist Seymour Hersh has written in the New Yorker magazine that the Bush administration has been carrying out secret reconnaissance missions in Iran to gather information about the country's nuclear, chemical, and missile sites in preparation for possible air strikes against the Islamic Republic... None of these statements will either embarrass or frighten the Iranian nation. The U.S. and its allies have used all their espionage tricks to obtain information about Iran but have never succeeded and will never succeed in discovering Iran's real military might.It seems that the inability of the U.S. and Israel to glean information about Iran's strategic military capabilities is an endless process. Therefore, the new claim, which is part of the White House's psychological operations against Tehran and which has also not been completely rejected, can only be interpreted as a ridiculous bluff meant to deflect attention from the U.S. failure in regard to Iran... However, issues such as plans to wage a major war against Iran have also been raised. A proverb says: "A barking dog never bites."The United States is well aware that Iran has strongly withstood U.S. pressure for over 25 years, including the actions of U.S. puppet dictator Saddam Hussein.Today, the Islamic Republic has acquired massive military might, the dimensions of which still remain unknown, and is prepared to attack any intruder with a fearsome rain of fire and death.The U.S. always bluffs in its dealings with powerful countries and only has the nerve to challenge weak and feeble regimes that have nothing to defend since they are only puppet governments.The U.S. and Israel know that they can never militarily challenge Iran, since attacking the Islamic Republic would be biting off more than they could chew and would only choke them if they attempted it.

American threats against Iran go back several years.

Bush 'won't tolerate' nuclear armed Iran WASHINGTON - U.S. President George Bush said on Wednesday he and other world leaders would not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. "The international community must come together to make it very clear to Iran that we will not tolerate construction of a nuclear weapon," Bush said following a cabinet meeting at the White House. "Iran would be dangerous if it had a nuclear weapon."He said nearly all the leaders at the G-8 summit earlier this month agreed they must prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power.The White House alleges Iran has an advanced missile program and has ties to terrorist groups.

Israel has also been keen for action against Iran. It is ironic that both the United States, the world's leading producer of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Israel, the regional producer of WMD in the Middle East, are condemning another nation for supposedly producing the same sorts of weapons.

Iran's nuclear program still a threat: Sharon JERUSALEM - Israel is taking measures to defend itself from Iran because the world is not doing enough to stop it from developing atomic weapons, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Wednesday.Sharon told the Jerusalem Post that "there is no doubt" that Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons.

In recent months the Americans have delivered to Israel bunker busting bombs capable of destroying fortified complexes in Iran. As well, late last year Bush moved bombers carrying nuclear missiles to an area near the northern borders of Iran.

It is worth noting here that the plans for an invasion of Iraq were made back in the 1990s, before ever began even his first term, and we know that almost from the first day in office the Bush administration began planning for an attack on Iraq. Similarly during the first few months in office, during the first term, the Bush administration was busy preparing for war with Afghanistan, and all the war plans and the coalition were in place already by June 2001, months before September 11th. We also know that just recently Bush cleaned house at the intelligence agencies, and is now surrounded by ‘Yes men', who will only give him the intelligence he wants. It would not be the case that the Bush administration is looking for intelligence to justify an attack on Iran, but given the nature of this administration, it would be the case that intelligence is sought to identify targets, and the attack on Iran would be, like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, one of the policy constants of this White House, which follows a predetermined course, with a President who is uninterested in intelligence assessments before determining a course of action. Therefore, one could argue that an attack on Iran would be reckless, or even dangerous, but that won't change anything, since Bush follows his course without deviation.

It surprises me that Bush could be in office for four years, and yet still people do not seem to know him. All the accumulating signs and indicators point to an attack on Iran in the near future, and the fact that Bush is in the White House is the guarantee that such an attack will happen. As for Weapons of Mass Destruction, one might recall the Bush Doctrine, stated during his first administration, wherein he said that if America was faced with a difficult circumstance, the response would be a unilateral nuclear strike by the United States. Therefore, should Bush get in trouble due to an attack on Iran, he will resort to nuclear weapons, which does explain why he has moved his missiles next door to Iran (just in case in the worst case scenario he might need them).

One could expect two strategies to implemented by Bush. The first is obviously an American attack on Iran, using overwhelming air power. According to the new Bush Doctrine, Bush is prepared to use nuclear weapons against Iran, should Iran respond with any thing other than docile subjection to this show of force. Second, we can expect much behind the scenes plotting, as Bush attempts to drive a wedge between the armed forces of Iran and the governing parties, in the hopes of inspiring the armed forces to join with the United States in a coup d'etat in Iran.

Anyone who believes that there will be no hostilities between America and Iran does not know George Bush. The man is just implacable and is following a predetermined course of action, and as those in his administrati on have discovered, it is next to impossible to prevent Bush from fulfilling his agenda.
