     A number of correspondants asked me about banners for this site, and a couple of people asked about animated banners. For this reason I have added a page of banners (I might tinker with them to improve the aesthetics, perhaps later on today or tommorrow). You can find small 2k gif banners on my banner page. I also made a smooth playing 144k animated gif banner but after a friend suggested changes, I cut the number of frames and made a smaller 35k animated gif banner. I don't like the smaller animated gif as much because by cutting frames, and reducing the bandwidth required by the banner, the banner also plays extremely quickly, but it is an animated banner, and this is what some people requested, so it is available...

     I received a brief response from the fellow from Portugal who wrote to me yesterday. First he wanted to clear something up that he wrote the day before (English is a second language for him)...

First of all, i would like to correct(i use to have a huge flow of ideias when writting,and most of times i donīt write them all,or write as the others already now what iīm thinking) a part of my previous letter:

"I seriously believe that God (or even an guardian angel) did not speak telepathically with you, as I seriously believe as they (the aliens) can do it. And believe me, they do, thousands of people around the world may confirm it."

     I made the changes in his letter posted yesterday, as he requested. I don't think he appreciated my critique of hypnosis and many conventional theories that purport to explain the UFO phenomena. He remarked...

So,you say you rebember everything...But all those people until being questioned under hypnosis,also rebembered...I said you were problably abducted,but as you can imagine,my vision is limited,and of course, i canīt argue that with you.Letīs say you wonīt.As for the results you refered,i also believe thereīs a lot of impostors on the scene. Anyway,my interest goes to contact wich has been made with you.About that you already know my position.

     Often I find the response people have to my testimony and to the phenomena I describe to be enigmatic, and this can be compounded when corresponding with someone for whom English is a second language. I am not sure if I understood what he was saying here, except for the last line, which indicated that his position remained unchanged. Yesterday I suggested that people should not merely be subjective in spirituality and in other areas where people have beliefs and theories, but should also temper their spirituality with objectivity and always be willing to change as knowledge and understanding evolves and changes. The author states above, 'no God, or even angel, spoke to you' but rather it was just the aliens themselves, who do these things all the time. Emotionally and psychologically this is a way of putting some distance between oneself and Yahweh, or so it would seem to me. After all, yesterday I gave the author a short list of points to consider when framing an hypothesis, but these points all pointed towards Yahweh, and that is not where the author wanted to go, as I can tell by his restatement of his former position.

     But I get emails from both sides of the issue. (No Yahweh, pro Yahweh.) For example some wrote to me to suggest that I have not gone far enough...

Just finnished viewing your WebSite and I got to say that you lack courage! I don't mean this in a bad way,because I feel courage is fear having said its prayers.I feel that you went through an awful lot and to stop and say you won't share it all then I feel you haven't shared any.Therefore,there still must be some fear.(?) If you believe in the stories to be true then you should also be capable of believing in your own soul to be true,thus making you fearless to share all,no matter how it will be perceived by others. Do you agree? Then I implore you to proceed and give us faithful viewers the opportunity to hear it all so that we too can be profoundly enriched by your experiences.Don't be stingy and just give us what you think we want to know,be generous and give us all that you know to be true to you and then you will have no fear for you are then being true to yourself! Education/Knowledge;that is true Freedom!!!! Thanking you in advance for your kind consideration.

     When I was designing this site, I was concerned about causing people to go 'deaf'. What I mean is that you can tell a person so much, and then it becomes 'too much' and they stop listening to anything you say. So, for that reason, I tried to achieve some balance. For example we read in the gospels that Joshua did not tell everyone everything but, later, when he was alone, he explained everything in full detail to his disciples. When asked why, he answered, 'for in hearing, they hear not, and seeing, they perceive not, otherwise they might turn, and I would heal them, says Yahweh.' And then he told his disciples, 'but how blessed are you because you do see and you do hear.' It is very important to me that even if people cannot believe what I am trying to tell them, that they at the very least read my critique of the Bible, which should protect them from superstitions and religious dogmatism. So I carefully considered what I was going to say. As for telling people 'only what they wanted to hear' as you can tell by some of the emails I received, some of the things I have been telling people are things they did not want to hear. But not everyone is as zealous for the whole truth of the matter as the above writer...

     As for 'courage' over the past few days I have been thinking of various ways to 'break the logjam' I seem to constantly encounter. I began discussing several days ago a 'spiritual retreat' in the woods by the lake, something I do quite often by myself, and as I described on my story page, I have also done the same thing with some friends, with varied results. I have posted an announcement on my essay page because next summer, when I go out again, as I do, I don't want to go alone, and I want to accomplish something with this website over the winter.
