On my story page I spoke of taking people out on what I call 'UFO watches' and the problems I encountered when many people then repressed the knowledge of what they had seen. I then proposed another UFO watch in the summer of 2001 as a possible solution to this problem (it was my hope to take 'disciples' on this next watch who would then be as inspired to be as zealous as I have become about spreading this news). I then posted a page giving voice to the Jewish prophets, and noted that the Jewish prophets, among other things, predicted the blooming of the desert as the sign of the return of Yahweh. I would prefer to see a desert bloom, over a "UFO watch" because this symbol would be something that everyone on earth could experience together. On this page I plan to monitor the condition of the Sahara desert, and when anything significant happens, the news will be posted here. I remain confident that not only would Yahweh approve of a 'UFO watch' (as I call it - as I described on my story page, it has happened before, so I have confidence in this course of action.) I remain confident that when the situation has been properly prepared Yahweh (or 'God', if you prefer), will finally take the course of action that I have been waiting for so long. And I am convinced that it will have something to do with the Sahara desert receiving rain, and then following this, spiritual rain falling down upon the human race, if you are willing to receive it... I say if you are willing, because I have noticed that there is something destructive about this place that damages the human personality. Once so damaged, people often find themselves in a position where they cannot or will not be willing or able to receive anything from God. But the desert receives nothing either, and if a desert can heal, and burst into bloom, so can the people on this planet. The symbolism the prophets used was thus appropriate and very lovely and aptly describes what I would like to see happen. The Sahara desert receives very little rain. In the summer (in the northern hemisphere, where I live - in Canada) the brief rainy season comes to the semi-desert region known as the Sahel, which is follows the southern border of the Sahara desert across the African continent. The rains begin to move south at the end of September and the beginning of October, and then during the dry season in the north, the southern half of the African continent experiences a rainy season. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization monitors conditions on the Sahel every year. According to their website, "The "Sahel Report" is issued every month throughout the growing season, which lasts from June to October." The most recent report for this year (posted October 11th, 2000) stated that, "Satellite images for early October show that cloud coverage is moving southwards, which is normal." I do not want to be premature in my judgments, but at the same time I do not want to be timid. I plan to monitor that desert long term (Eden isn't grown in a day, after all). However I plan to start now, as cloud cover has not 'moved south' as is normal, but there appears to be abnormal precipation in the north. How out of the ordinary this might be, remains to be seen. As I mentioned, I plan to monitor this situation long term, and I also pray several times a day over this situation (my prayers usually going something like this - "Yahweh, I am so sick and tired of this place. Please do something about it...") As I mentioned I would much prefer a rainy desert to a UFO watch, since everyone can share in the experience of a giant desert becoming an Eden, and, as I have found, there is profound feeling of 'abandonmemnt by God' on this planet that causes people to assume that anyone who goes on like I do, and makes the assumptions about God that I do, must be some kind of raving lunatic. That is not my experience but rather is the experience of the people living on this planet, but that can be changed so that their experience comes closer to my experience. But first something must be done to shatter that profound 'mental block' that the majority of people seem to have when it comes to believing in recieving anything real and immediate from God. A UFO watch might not be the fix I am looking for, since if one person can be ignored and marginalized so can one group of people. As one of the gospels put it, 'we testify to you about what we ourselves have seen and experienced, but you refuse to accept our testimony.' One of the reasons people refuse to accept such testimony could be because they have experienced personality damage from living in this place, and now feel a profound sense of separation from God. Another reason could simply be the cultural conditioning and the results of years of experience that lead people to develop a kind of 'mental block' that renders them unable to accept testimony of the kind I deliver. As one of the gospels described the phenomena, 'having ears, they hear not, and having eyes they perceive not.' And as the disciples were told, 'you believe, because you have seen. But how blessed are those who have not seen, and yet believed.' If you do believe, and if you are the type of person who prays about things, I invite you to join me in saying a few prayers about this place, and in particular about that desert. To paraphrase Isaiah, 'give God no rest until a crown of glory is revealed..." "Let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy! Sing to God, sing praises; lift up a song to him who rides upon the clouds; his name is Yahweh! Protector of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in the holy habitation. God gives the desolate a home to dwell in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. O God, when thou didst go forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness, Selah the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, at the presence of God; Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel. Rain in abundance, O God, thou didst shed abroad; thou didst restore thy heritage as it languished..." (Psalm 68:3) Will Jewish prophecy concerning
the blooming of the desert
come to pass in our time?
Monitoring rainfall on the Sahara Desert...
One more rain prophecy, this time from the psalms...
