"How lovely is thy dwelling place, O Yahweh of hosts! My soul longs, yea, faints for the courts of Yahweh; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at thy altars, O Yahweh of hosts, my King and my God. "Be glad, O sons of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh, your God; for Yahweh has given the early rain for your vindication, and has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before. The threshing floors shall be full of grain, the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. I will restore to you the years which the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of Yahweh your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame. You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I, Yahweh, am your God and there is none else. And my people shall never again be put to shame. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even upon the menservants and maidservants in those days, I will pour out my spirit. And I will give portents in the heavens and on the earth..." (Joel 2:23)

Thou visitest the earth and waterest it, thou greatly enrichest it; the river of God is full of water; thou providest their grain, for so thou hast prepared it. Thou waterest its furrows abundantly, settling its ridges, softening it with showers, and blessing its growth. Thou crownest the year with thy bounty; the tracks of thy chariot drip with fatness. Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, YAHWEH on high is mighty! Thy decrees are very sure; holiness befits thy house, O LORD, for evermore." (Psalm 93:3)

"Thou makest springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow between the hills, they give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst. By them the birds of the air have their habitation; they sing among the branches. From thy lofty abode thou waterest the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy work. Thou dost cause the grass to grow for the cattle, and plants for humanity to cultivate, that they may bring forth food from the earth, and wine to gladden the heart of humanity, oil to make their face shine, and bread to strengthen their heart. The trees of Yahweh are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon which Yahweh planted. In them the birds build their nests; the stork has her home in the fir trees." (Psalm 104:10)

"Yahweh turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water. And there lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in; they sow fields, and plant vineyards, and get a fruitful yield. By Yahweh's blessing they multiply greatly; and Yahweh does not let their cattle decrease." (Psalm 107:35 )

"Tremble, O earth, at the presence of Yahweh, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water." (Psalm 114:7)

"Behold, Yahweh has one who is mighty and strong; like a storm of hail, a destroying tempest, like a storm of mighty, overflowing waters ... And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plummet; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter." (Isaiah 28:2 )

"Each will be like a hiding place from the wind, a covert from the tempest, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shade of a great rock in a weary land." (Isaiah 32:2)

"Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them." Sing to Yahweh a new song, praise from the end of the earth! Let the sea roar and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants. Let the desert and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the top of the mountains." (Isaiah 42:9)

"For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring. They shall spring up like grass amid waters, like willows by flowing streams." (Isaiah 44:3)

"He who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning, and darkens the day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the surface of the earth, Yahweh is the name." (Amos 5:8)

"But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." (Amos 5:24)

"Who builds upper chambers in the heavens, and founds a vault upon the earth; who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the surface of the earth, Yahweh is the name." (Amos 9:6)
