Eden Watch End of May 2002





As I mentioned on the Pentecost page, animation revealed that another storm system was moving in from South America, and the effects are starting to be seen on Monday May 20th. The first image links to the Atlantic pressure image site, and you can see a high pressure system over most of North America, and another High Pressure system planted over the Atlantic, which has been there for some time now. There is a low pressure system (bluish) over Eden, and in animation you can see that somehow this large Atlantic high pressure system is responsible for steering the Water Vapor and clouds from South America towards the West Coast of Eden. The cloud height image shows the isolated storms systems that have developed on the 20th, and the picture below captures the movement of water vapor from South America on the left, and over Eden (what happens in the Water Vapor spectrum always precedes what will then become cloud cover and rain.) Even though the water vapor is captured in a still image, it still captures some of the movement that is taking place and will further impact Eden as this week goes on...
