The taboo and the blockade on the road
From time to time I compose some unusual commentaries, but they are not typically very well received, consisting of bizarre elements that people find very hard to accept. Human experience is a very powerful conditioning agent, and those things which go beyond the limits of what people know from the day to day experience are not easily accepted, if they are accepted at all. Because I understand this principle, for the most part I attempt to go about my work while attempting to find ways and means that remain within acceptable limits, in the hope that in this way it might still be possible to make some progress, since to go beyond acceptable boundaries and begin telling people those things about which they know nothing from their own personal experience not only results in the rejection of that message, but also has the effect of nullifying any useful work a person might plan to do at the same time.This mode of operation has its limits, however, and every now and then I run into dead ends and road blocks that cannot be overcome without going into forbidden territory. Furthermore, a refusal to break taboos results in the end of it all in a telling of a kind of falsehood, since to not tell the whole truth is also a form of lie, the lie of omission.
This morning I am inspired to interpret an ancient myth, and while it would certainly be possible to interpret ancient mythology without explaining why I am interpreting this particular mythological story, that approach does not seem acceptable to me, because it would mean leaving out a part of the story which seems crucial. Once again I find myself confronting one of those annoying road blocks, and the only way to proceed is to ignore taboos.
The messenger
Because it is my intention this morning to deliver a message, which is not my own, it is required that I point to the messenger. This is where the trouble begins, since people have no experience of such a messenger, and given how all human thought is strongly conditioned by the limitations of personal experience, and given how the human mind cannot integrate the unfamiliar, this proves to be a problem every single time I attempt to enter forbidden territory. While at the present time there are certain limitations placed upon the sharing of experience (although these limits, as I have insisted in the past, are not insurmountable, and it is also true that some of the barriers erected are not erected by the messenger, but rather by human beings, which is a very strange phenomena, but also worth considering).
The 'Eden Wing', Earth Day, 2001
On Friday, April 20th, two days before Earth Day, 2001, I sent out a bunch of emails and postings on news groups announcing what I called ‘the Eden Wing', a giant wing shape made out of clouds stretched out over the Sahara desert during the Summit of the Americas. I had noticed that people who went to protests unfurled banners, and so I decided to unfurl a banner myself, and thus achieve my ‘big breakthrough'. By the way, it did not happen, which just goes to show you just how damned hard a 'break through' is to accomplish when you are attmepting to deliver a message that incorporates elements that go beyond normal experience. That conditioning experience is just that powerful, and the amount of debris strewn over the roadway is just that mountainous.
On the Tuesday after this event on Earth Day, 2001, one of these luminous craft appeared unexpectedly on live television broadcast from space, having been captured on NASA's space shuttle camera outside the international space station. There was a brief report on the BBC site in which NASA acknowledged being in possession of such a video tape, and then after that one leak, stone walling. (The BBC story is titled UFO video goes to Hollywood and is dated June 1st, 2001, about five weeks after the incident took place after the Earth Day, 2001. The relevant quote from the article: "officials at NASA are said to have asked to examine the tape, because they believe it shows the same type of craft once spotted by the space agency's own cameras during a space shuttle mission." )
Now in the past, I have scolded NASA angrily for not releasing that tape, and I have also insisted that civil disobedience is the proper response to ‘National Security Orders' on a matter such as this. However I have decided to adopt a slightly different tactic this morning, and instead I will just remind NASA that Siberia is melting, and belching methane, and there are also reports that the Greenland ice sheet is now melting, this beginning after the disappearance of sea ice around Greenland. Then I will allow the situation to continue its decline, getting more and more dangerous, while leaving NASA to continue to question whether or not civil disobedience and the profound changes which are bound to follow is more appalling than the even worse alternatives. I remain confident that someday there is a threat level that NASA will find unendurable, thus making the social changes and upheaval resulting from the revelation placed into their hands look like the best option, rather than the worst option, which, judging by their secretive behavior, seems to be their position at the present time.
As for myself, I will think about myself as a diplomat, since even if I cannot talk to the average person, I can talk to the mighty and powerful, who have been let in our little secret, and so even under the present circumstances that NASA video tape will still prove to be useful to me and good for something after all in the interim.
The symbolism of the Earth Day Eden Wing comes from mythology, this time the 12th chapter of the book known as Revelations. You see, there was this woman, struggling to give birth to a child, while a Dragon was crouching before her, waiting to devour the infant the very second it was born. She cried out with labor pains and her baby was delivered and snatched right up to heaven, and then when the Dragon turned on her, she grew the great wings of an Eagle and flew off to her place in the desert. Because I sympathized with that protest movement in all its various forms, and saw her as the woman struggling to give birth it was my intention to give her wings. That remains my intention, but she still hasn't learned to fly, or so it seems.
But then she hasn't really given birth at this time either, although if you look around the world you can see the growing labor pains. Around the world people are growing increasingly frustrated with ‘globalization' and the wide spread destruction being caused by neoliberal capitalism. Some of the most obvious examples are that growing trade deficit which has swollen to an enormous size since 2001, and is directly related to the destruction of the American economy and American jobs. In Europe the neoliberal E.U. constitution was rejected by an increasingly hostile population. In Germany the public tried to force the SPD party to the left by electing 85 members of the left party, only to have the SPD spurn a coalition with the Left party and enter into negotiations with the right wing CDU. Of course there was never any difference between the SPD and the CDU, since the SPD angered voters with the Hartz agenda, which is neoliberalism, and the CDU also pushes neoliberalism, so naturally the SPD would ignore the voters, refuse to be scared to the left, and instead put in another right wing neoliberal government in Germany. The Democrats in America just refuse to be pressured away from neoliberalism, even though the country is being destroyed around them, for you see, under globalization there is no longer any such thing as ‘nationalism'. The world and all its politicians are now being ruled by large multinational corporations and international capitalist investors, who have become the first truly global power, dwarfing the archaic nation states in which all resistance remains trapped and thus neutralized. Siberia is now melting, and beginning to release its 70 billion tons of methane into the atmosphere, the most potent of greenhouse gases, which makes the term ‘global warming' obsolete (we should now be talking about very rapid climate change and the ‘Thermal maximum'). This also began over the last three or four years after Earth Day, 2001.
Yes, a lot has happened since Earth Day, 2001, and so perhaps it would be best to reinterpret that myth and suggest that on Earth Day, she did not learn to fly, but rather she became pregnant. She has not delivered a child, but it is pretty clear that she has gone into labor.
A message from the messenger
Well having said all the above I can now begin to get to the point of this piece, and that is to deliver a message, not my own, but rather a peculiar message I received very early, Sunday morning, before dawn, on October 9th, 2005.What happened is that a strange craft appeared in the skies overhead. It was shaped like a wing and had a peculiar yellowish brown glow. It was high up and rather dim and flew extremely rapidly from west to east. Shortly thereafter another craft shaped like a wing appeared in the south. This time it was much closer and had a bright yellow glow. It flew very rapidly from south to north. I was astonished because I had never seen a craft like it before. It then happened that as I was puzzling about what I had seen I turned my head in the sky and there, in the constellation of Orion was my familiar ‘guardian angel', in the familiar disk shaped craft glowing brilliant white. The craft moved a short distance over the chest of Orion and then disappeared. I understood that the message was, ‘think about what you have seen.' The fact that these yellow craft were shaped like wings made me think of Earth Day, 2001, and the wing over the Sahara, and then this made think about the melting of Siberia and the beginnings of the release of up to 70 billion tons of methane the first signs of which have already appeared. As I was worrying about Siberia and that methane, I looked directly up and there straight up above my head was my guardian angel once again, the disk quite close and glowing with a great brilliant white, and then the craft rapidly began to accelerate upwards and disappeared to a pin point.
Now my guardian angel had instructed me to think carefully about what I had just seen, and after contemplating the matter I understood that I was to emphasize an environmental message, which placed particular focus on that methane in Siberia, and that I also remind these people that the Eden Wing which appeared on Earth Day, 2001 was a warning sign, which was ignored, thus leading us to carry on as things kept on getting worse and worse. My guardian angel also considers that methane coming up from the melting permafrost in Siberia to be a critically important development that I must emphasize.
And for this reason I am delivering a message this morning. This is not my message, but rather I am delivering a message from my guardian angel. This requires me to go out another one of those limbs, because people just barely listen to me, and they never listen to my guardian angel.
Orion and Gaia
On Sunday morning I was musing about whether or not there was some special significance to the fact that my Guardian angel appeared within the most recognizable of the constellations in the heavens, Orion. So I logged onto the internet and found that the legend of Orion is an encapsulation of ancient environmentalism. That was an astonishing discovery and it was enough to convince me that the fact that my guardian angel chose to appear in Orion was not by any means a coincidence, since it all fit in within the general meaning of that message I had just been given.Ancient mythology does not just consist of foolish stories and vulgar superstitions, but rather is found to consist of keen psychological and natural insights, encapsulated in the form of parables and mythological symbolism. A good example of this sort of thing is found in the mythology surrounding the figure of Orion, the triumphant hunter, and the Earth Goddess, Gaia. Orion had a type of miraculous birth, having been born as the result of the promise of the gods in return for kindness and generosity shown by a simple human farmer to several gods who appeared disguised in human form. Thus Orion is a figure with religious connotations, and represents a humanity raised up from a lowly condition to a position of power on the earth. Orion's power was symbolized by his bow and arrow and the knife he carried in his belt which he then used as his weapon to dominate natural forces. King Oenopion hired Orion to kill the terrifying monsters who were terrorizing the population of Chios. These monsters represented natural forces which inspired fear and Orion's triumph over these creatures symbolized human ability to become dominant over nature.
After Orion had overcome the monsters of nature, he became arrogant and full of pride, and announced that his next goal would be to destroy all the other animals of the world, and this statement represented human attempts to completely dominate the natural world, with the spread of human civilization resulting in this great extinction event which Orion announces. Word of this coming extinction event reaches the ears of Gaia, the Earth Goddess, and she is angry, for she is the Goddess of the natural world, and the protection of the animals being threatened with extinction by Orion is her responsibility. She therefore sends Scorpius the Scorpion to kill Orion, and all his weapons proved to be useless to him as he was stung to death by Scorpius. As a reward, Gaia then placed Scorpius in to the sky as a constellation, and the other gods, saddened by the death of Orion, also made him immortal by placing him into the sky as a constellation. However Scorpius and Orion were placed in opposite hemispheres to prevent any future conflicts erupting between the two of them. This represents a humanity learning to live in harmony with nature, by keeping clear of the territory protected by Gaia. What the mythology represents then is a critique of human attitudes towards the natural world, followed by a call to learn to live in harmony with nature, with a reminder of the overwhelming power of Gaia being a warning intended to inspire humility in the face of the human arrogance that disregards destruction of the natural world in favor of exclusive concerns for human desires.
The wrath of Gaia
What I experienced on Sunday morning was rich with mythological symbolism, and it is required that I attempt to articulate the meaning of these symbols. One way to do this might be to create a mythological parable which incorporates the various elements, but as you can see, our ancestors already did that, so there really is need for me to reinvent the wheel. Therefore I feel that it would be better if I were to attempt to interpret the mythological symbols by putting the message into words.Some of you might be familiar with the language of the Jewish Prophets from long ago. They would say, ‘thus saith YAHWEH God', and then they would deliver a message. The message of the Jewish prophets is much more complex than most people seem to understand, this ignorance being a product of the hostility that people feel towards the religious right and its appropriation and misinterpretation of lines of text ripped out of context and then used to justify the regression policies of the religious right. These verses would have to be ripped out of context, because the Jewish prophets did not represent a right wing point of view, thus requiring that verses from their texts be misappropriated if they are to become tools of right wing extremism.
The message of the Jewish prophets consisted of revolutionary tracts calling for land reform and the redistribution of wealth, and to facilitate this they called for the revolutionary overthrow of the ancient Jewish state and called for the bringing down of the wealthy elite of Israel. The modern political formation the Jewish prophets resemble are the Marxists. It is for this reason that Jewish prophets must be quoted out of context and their message distorted before it can become a useful tool for the superstitions of the religious right, since Jewish prophets were the leftists of their society, as anyone could tell who actually read their revolutionary tracts. You hear nothing about this coming from the pulpits of the religious right for obvious reasons, for they nullify those prophets for the sake of their own right wing doctrines, and they do many, many other things just like that.
Jewish prophets were also the environmentalists of their day, denouncing the ongoing destruction of the environment. The loss of forest cover resulted in the spread of the desert throughout the middle east, and the message of the Jewish prophets incorporated mythological elements common to that time. They spoke of the wrath of the angry rain god, much as the Greeks spoke of the wrath of Gaia, and the Jewish rain god, like Gaia, the prophets insisted, was going to be sending out Scorpius the Scorpion and he would sting the Jewish people to death because of their practices.
Now a modern perspective demands that we not understand literally talk of ‘wrathful rain gods' or ‘wrathful earth goddesses'. I want to make it clear that I do not believe in the literal existence of ‘Gaia'. However there is something hard to describe about natural systems that does resemble, to employ a modern metaphor, what you could call an ‘artificial intelligence'. Nature has a program, and here we can think of the coding of the computational device being in the form of proteins which form the code for DNA. Now much as in science fiction stories, as a computer became more complex, it was said to have spontaneously become 'self aware' and became an 'artificial intelligence'.
In the dispute over ‘intelligent design' and evolution, I have frequently heard it said that, ‘the bird flu is evolving...and that is not an example of intelligent design.' I would disagree. This is a very good example of intelligent design, from the point of view of a bird flu virus. By jumping out of birds and onto humans just think about how much that bird flu virus will be able to increase its range. Even so, the bird flu by itself cannot come up with an intelligent design, being just a virus, and yet all really intelligently designed viruses evolve to a point where they are not lethal and do not kill their hosts, but rather coexist with their hosts in a symbiotic parasitic relationship. What the bird flu virus lacks in intelligence is supplied by ‘Gaia', who, over a period of time, will see to it that the bird flu loses its lethality and a balance of nature will be achieved whereby the bird flu will enter into a parasitic relationship with humans rather than killing them outright.
This complaint about ‘lack of intelligent design' when the design does not suit the interests of human beings is a fine example of anthropocentric thinking. Think about those large scale livestock operations, where animals are kept in crowded conditions to maximize profits per square foot. To keep them alive it is required that they be pumped full of antibiotics and antivirals. The Union of Concerned Scientists took some air samples outside these large livestock factories and found that being released into the atmosphere from these places were powerful super bacteria, which had developed an immunity to anti-biotics. Once again, this is a fine example of ‘intelligent design', from the point of view of those viruses and germs. After all, humanity did not think that they were just going to destroy those creatures, and as for those creatures, well they would just go quietly into that dark night by cooperating and going extinct. No, it turns out that when Gaia's creatures are facing a challenge like that one, they grow a scorpion's tail, and become the kind of killer bugs against whom all the many weapons of Orion prove powerless. This once again is a fine example of intelligent design, from the point of view of Gaia, for if Orion is going to destroy her creatures, it only makes good sense for Gaia to send for Scorpius the Scorpion. Now Orion, being so damned anthropocentric, is always heard to be complaining that something is not an intelligent design when it does not favor his own narrow interests, even when it can clearly be seen, when looked at from the interests of another creature, that it was the best possible choice under the circumstances.
Now the obvious solution to this problem is to separate Orion and Gaia, and prevent any further future conflicts between the two of them. This would require Orion to put aside his arrogance, and learn to live without invading Gaia's turf. However Orion has already announced his intentions to destroy the natural world, and bring on wide spread extinctions of Gaia's forests and Gaia's creatures, and in response intelligent design requires that Gaia send out Scorpius. So therefore we see the scorpion's tail emerging from those corporate barns, and we see the scorpion's tail emerging from the melting bogs of Siberia. The scorpion's tail is emerging from the warming oceans, from the melting glaciers and their disappearing rivers, from the sodden skies and from drought stricken plains.
Out of all these emerging scorpions, the worst of all, according to my guardian angel, is that extra large, venomous scorpion dragging itself up from below in the depths of those melting bogs in Siberia. I have been instructed specifically by my Guardian angel to speak to these people and warn them about Gaia, and that big, bad scorpion she is preparing to send out upon the earth. I am to remind them of the past, and impress upon them that they did not listen, and now what has happened since that time. A great wing has formed, much more brilliant and much closer than the one before, and it is heading due north. The situation has only deteriorated over the last four years, but just as things got worse the time before, this time if the pattern continues, they will only be getting much much worse.
Some commentary
We are not alone
Now we are not alone. Most people are ‘alone' but only because their experience has led them to believe that they are alone. This does not change the fact that we are not alone, but rather it just means that I see before myself the bizarre situation wherein a people live a lie, and because they perceive themselves to be alone they live alone in a universe that is actually full of life. Also of interest to me is the way they are left alone, and I have also seen that they seem to choose to be alone, since they extend no invitations, and I have also seen evidence of people hiding the truth so as to maintain the fiction that we are alone. The situation is therefore much more complex than some of simplified analysis I sometimes receive as feedback would suggest we should rationally expect to see. There is nothing rational about this prevailing situation, which is something to keep in mind when people try to reason things out after hearing what I have to say, and then decide that ‘it just does not make sense.' This is the truth. It does not make sense, and attempting to making some type of rational sense of this matter is to head down a dead end road, for it would seem that this scenario must be understood emotionally, not rationally, in order to make any sort of sense out of it all.My first conscious encounter with this messenger took place when I was twelve years old. I felt a strong presence enter the room I was sitting in. The feeling was very real and even seem localized. I remember looking up towards the left corner of the room. I dismissed the feeling as being similar to that deja vu feeling that people sometimes get, but then I heard this ‘tinny' sounding voice speaking into my left ear. The voice said, ‘the telephone is going to ring, your grandfather is dead.' A powerful eerie feeling came over me, and all my senses became heightened. I could have heard a pin drop at a hundred yards. I froze, and I waited, and then once again I dismissed the phenomena as some kind of weird psychological aberration. And then the phone rang. My mother answered the phone, then there was the sound of the phone crashing to the floor and she ran up the stair steps crying. About fifteen minutes later she came and knelt down in front of me and told me that they had just called to inform us that my grandfather had died. I just nodded my head. I already knew. For the next three weeks I was haunted. White shirts in the closet looked like ghosts and there were alligators under my bed. My room was filled with the spirits of dead people. After some time went by, a change took place and the event became ‘normalized'. I achieved a new state of equilibrium, but I was never the same person again. I became a type of ‘revolutionary' determined to overthrow society, for the experience had radicalized me. Nothing I had been told was true, and from that time on whenever I listened to the ‘orthodox' explanations of reality given to me by society, including what seemed to me to be the dogmatic descriptions of reality which categorically rejected such phenomena as nonsense, this only increased my revolutionary fervor, because something was damn well wrong.
When I was fifteen I was then approached by the messenger again, this time in an illuminated craft at Banff National Park. The craft had a very distinctive type of glow, and as I saw more variations of these craft at close quarters I recognized the quality of the light as being the same as what you see in those ‘glow in the dark toys.' There is only one phenomena that allows an object to float in the air in opposition to gravity and that is magnetism. So I understood that I was seeing a craft that was somehow propelled by magnetism. I also understood that the phosphorescence I was seeing consisted of a natural battery that stored solar power, and then was able to release this energy in a controlled fashion, resulting in the powerful glow of many different colors. This material is also a natural solar battery and was obviously powering an electro- magnet, which was responsible for the craft being able to float. There is also some connection that exists between magnetism and gravity (the graph of an object falling into a gravity well is identical to the graph of an object falling into a magnetic field). These craft are able to accelerate at great speeds, while at the same time somehow an environment is created which is isolated from the G-forces that result, and since these craft are obviously large magnets, the explanation for this strange phenomena lies somewhere in the relationship between magnetism and gravity. It is for this reason that I keep insisting that human energy requirements could be met by exploring this glow in the dark material, which is a natural solar battery and an energy source, being a very elegant solution to the problem. Current solar technology relies upon silicon, which is only about 6 or 7 per cent efficient. Since the most advanced civilization I have ever seen uses phosphorescence and since they are obviously producing vast amounts of energy, as their technological feats would indicate, silicon is a dead end road. As some scientist once said (I cannot recall who it was) nothing facilitates the search for an answer more than the knowledge that the answer actually exists.
Thus began a long relationship with someone who I refer to as ‘my guardian angel'. Now it turns out that the situation is complicated by some sort of conflict out there in the heavens, for it was shortly after this that I also became familiar with an enemy, who I sarcastically refer to as ‘that Dragon.' This individual appears to have a personality disorder. I base this conclusion upon years of personal experience, in the way that you can only come to know someone and become familiar with their personality through personal contact over a long period of time. This ‘Dragon', as I have named this individual, appears to be like a sociopath, in that just like a sociopath, the Dragon knows that actions are hurtful to others, but just does not care, being devoid of all empathy combined with ruthless calculation, and this is combined with a sadistic personality disorder, in that the Dragon appears to get pleasure from cruelty.
I was fifteen when the events occurred at Banff National Park, and where I live people receive their driver's licence when they are sixteen, and when I received mine I found that it was weirdly coded with ‘the Mark of the Beast', as its called, the number ‘ 6 6 6'. What happened is that somehow that Dragon interfered with the process of the issuance of that driver's licence and had that mark of the beast number encoded on that licence, following the principle that a Dragon always thinks ahead. Above is a scanned image of the licence.
Now what I have found over the years, is that people scoff at me when I show them my one small scrap of evidence that I have in my possession to employ to expose and convict that Dragon, dismissing that licence as ‘a coincidence'. That is a freaking dangerous thing to be doing, for you see I am attempting to warn people, and they don't listen to me, which is a very bad idea, when you consider that we are talking here about a really dangerous psychopathic sadist who is and has been intimately involved in conditioning and screwing around with the human race for a very long time.
Here is where I run into another one of those road blocks I was referring to previously. And this is the worst one of them all. I cannot directly attack that Dragon. I have to attack indirectly. I plot my strategy, and I undermine and I attack ideologies of oppression, while keeping my mouth shut about that Dragon. My long term goal is to destabilize the situation, thus causing that Dragon to either give up and go away, or come out and be exposed. My guardian angel agrees with me that this a good strategy to pursue, the strategy of propaganda wars, since it is both through the limitations of conditioning experiences and through propaganda that this Dragon exerts any influence at all over this planet. It is also true that this Dragon is the original source of the false religious ideologies of oppression that have plagued this planet for thousands of years, somethign I have become intimately familiar with over the years as I found my struggling with and exposing that masquerading sneaking damn thing myself. Which explains why I am also found to be targeting religious ideologies from time to time, in case anyone was wondering why I would bother. When I do this I get some feedback from people telling me that this course of actrion is ‘pointless'. How little they understand. I know exactly what I am doing, even if I am never up front about it for the reasons I mentioned previously. That damn thing is going to have to start over again by the time I get through with my present task...its either that option or just give up and go away, which isn't bloody well likely, by the way. You can trust me on that one. That thing is getting smoked out by the time this over, you can be sure of that. At that time we can talk about ‘coincidences' once again. I insist, for what its worth under the present prevailing circumstances, that people take these things seriously, but even if they do not, or even if they cannot due to the limitations imposed upon them by their (false) experiences, it is my intention to force the situation.
Since I am breaking taboos this morning, I have been thinking that I might as well talk a little more about this Dragon a little later on this piece, but for right now, let me ask you people a question. How can you have a true picture of reality, when your experiences and your culture and your religious heritage and thus your thoughts and your attitudes have all been influenced with conscious deliberation by a really weird pervert?
Many years went by after the incidents that occurred when I was fifteen, until finally in 1996 the voice returned and said ‘your time has come.' I set to work, and the target of my activities was an attempt to conduct revolutionary actions centered around those churches, for as I explained previously, religious ideology has been the source for the transmission of harmful ideologies that ultimately can be traced back to the influence of that Dragon a long time ago. It should come as no surprise to anyone to hear that my activities resulted in my being locked up in what I called ‘the dungeon' at a psychiatric hospital (the dungeon being the most high security area of that installation where the most dangerously insane types were incarcerated to ensure that they could not escape to threaten society).
Now it is interesting to note here that before this incarceration took place I was agitating to get some representatives of those churches to come with me and view these unusual craft for themselves and thus confirm that I was in fact telling them the truth. However, they said, ‘we refuse.' I remember sitting locked in my cell thinking to myself about how damned unjust the conduct of those churches was at that time. I mean if you are going to use your power as a minister in the community to have someone locked up I would think that you would have a responsibility to ensure beforehand that they actually were crazy. Now if they were certain that I was crazy, they should have been equally certain that they could confirm their suspicions, which would have been just, rather than unjust. Now I am not mentioning this just to hurl accusations of injustice in the general direction of church ministers, even though their conduct was clearly unjust, for it is myc conclusion that the same ‘brain washing' process that conditions the experiences and behavior of everyone else on this planet also conditions their responses, and it is my conclusion that they probably could not act any other way than they did act. The purpose therefore in my dredging up this old quarrel, and the accusation of injustice that goes along with it, is simply to convict, not for the purposes of condemning, but rather to inspire some deep reflection on the part of these individuals. It is obvious to me that they cannot justify their behavior, so therefore they must instead examine their conduct, and thus attempt to understand themselves.
This event is also significant, for it is typical of people to employ what they consider ‘reason and common sense', and such rationalizations would suggest to them that if we are not alone, therefore the impetus for proving this to be so must lie outside the human race. Here then we have this picture of the human race as ‘the innocent victim' of ‘cruel neglect', all of which would then seem quite reasonable and thus compelling, or alternatively it must be the case that absence of evidence is the evidence for its absence, which can also seem very compelling when people begin to reason through these matters. However, in reality, the situation proves to be much more complex than such simple reasoning would suggest, and even though rationalizations can seem powerfully convincing, they are also completely erroneous. It is one of the difficulties of human reasoning to be able to grasp the concept that something can be compelling and erroneous both at the same time, but here we have an example of this very sort of thing.
I am still here.. You see, no one is saying ‘search long and hard and with great difficulty in a barren desert wasteland.' Nevertheless, I am still alone, so please, before anyone starts in with that supposedly compelling rationalizing, take this matter into account. How could it be the case that someone such as myself could be alone and could remain alone for such a long time, and given present trends, could even die alone and take the truth to the grave with me. Examine your conduct. What does this mean. You see understanding what I am alluding to here is vital if you want to reason and rationalize and still have any hope of making any sense whatsoever out of human history in the past and at the same time be able to incorporate this new information which I am attempting to share with you. Your reasoning and your rationalizations, as compelling as they might seem to you, are false. Something is wrong here, and I know enough, after all these years of accumulated experiences, to understand that what is wrong here is somehow directly related to a process of conscious, deliberate conditioning which was intended to create exactly the response which I then encounter. You can compare this to someone walking down a road, only to find that someone was there long ago, and threw logs and boulders and debris onto the road to block the path. This was done deliberately. The path is your mind, and the rocks and the boulders which are preventing you from understanding what you are hearing is the end product of a deliberate conditioning which results from an accumulation of conditioning experiences as well as propaganda which then purports to explain those experiences resulting in a world view which is then deeply flawed and a narrowed mind which is incapable of accepting reality, since reality has been made so damned foreign to experience it cannot be integrated into the mind. It is my hope that by bringing this matter into consciousness it might still be possible, and I also hope to make people aware of their own behavior so that they can begin to wonder what motivates them to behave as they do (their behavior is unjust and self destructive). Perhaps in this way the blockade on the road can be cleared, and even if it cannot be cleared immediately, it might be possible to start something on an unconscious level, planting a seed as it were, that might grow into something over time.
To summarize a few points I have been making above, a Dragon has two lines of defense. The first is to blockade the road. If that fails, then a Dragon has a fallback position, incorporated in that attempt to stick me with that ‘6 6 6'. The fall back position, the last line of defense for a Dragon is the inculcation and then the exploitation of the most gross and abominable superstition. Superstition can only be defeated by reason and common sense, while fear can only be conquered by faith. This is something that concerns me. Keep this in mind. I know very well that once I achieve success I am going to be in trouble later, and I am going to be in a lot of trouble, too, if people do not learn to conquer that religious superstition introduced by that Dragon..
Permanent revolution
I remember when I was teenager, some relatives of mine, who were supporters of a middle of the road ‘socialist' party in our province, were complaining about the inroads being made by large agricultural multinationals. Their proposed solution was to get as many people mobilized to support the provincial NDP party as they could manage. I pointed out to them that this strategy could not work. I reminded them that in France, the people had voted in a left leaning government and the multinationals and the international capitalist investors had pulled the plug on the French economy. As the economy plunged into recession, the pundits kicked into operation, and blamed the collapse of the French economy on the failed policies of the socialists. Angry voters then brought in a hawkish right wing party which then proceeded to launch neoliberal attacks on the population. The same pattern was repeated in countries in Asia and around the world. It was the beginnings of globalization and the imposition of the agenda of right wing neoliberal capitalism on a global scale, and an important component of this transformation involved the use of the powers accumulated by the world's first truly global power structure to discipline and train the petty national government bodies of the world. Taxes were cut, and the social commons destroyed in the interests of individualism and privatization became the buzzword in the interests of the accumulation of private property and profits. ‘Free trade' was brought in, and the wholesale destruction of the industrialized nations began, with job losses sweeping America and Europe, wages being forced down, benefits slashed, as jobs swiftly moved to sweat shops overseas. Every political party was forced to the right and even the supposedly ‘left' parties all began forcing through the neoliberal agenda.Marxists, if they are true Marxists, and not just ‘reformists' masquerading as Marxists, hold to the theory of ‘permanent revolution.' Now as I explained to my relatives at the time, it was not possible to have ‘socialism in one country', not to mention ‘socialism in one province.' The world's first truly global power had emerged, with the ability to trample the older nation state structures underfoot. I had not read Marx, and I knew nothing about the theory of ‘permanent revolution', nor was I familiar with the battle with Stalin over his theory of ‘socialism in one country.' It was just so obvious that ‘socialism in one country' was a false position that on my own, without any formal knowledge of history or doctrine, I became an exponent of ‘permanent revolution.' Global power requires a global response. All petty nationalism, all provincialism and all rancid feuds and internecine squabbles, anything that divides people must be targeted for destruction and overcome. The alternative is to be left vulnerable to the strategy of divide and conquer.
Now the nation state is an ossified and obsolete social structure, which explains the problems people are having around the world. The Germans vote for the left party to attempt to force the SPD back to the left. The Americans vote for the Greens to attempt to force the Democrat party to adopt a progressive position. The SPD allies with the right wing CDU to force through more neo-liberalism while the Democrats move to the right of the Republicans. Those politicians are not stupid. They understand those multinational corporations and the dictates of those wealthy international capitalist investors. It is quite clear that many voters still do not understand for you continue to hear talk about ‘taking back the Democrats' or ‘forcing the SPD to the right' or ‘reclaiming the Labor party.' It should be obvious to people that what they are proposing is impossible, and yet it would seem that either they still do not understand or they are being willfully blind. Granted it is a tall order to expect two feuding national groups to put aside their differences, and if only nationalism could work, that seems more reasonable, a doable agenda. But the fact of the matter is that nationalism is dead. Globalization is the new reality. Now as for feuding groups pursuing some idiotic nationalistic quarrel from ancient times, if people do not learn to overcome these inculcated social bigotries and grow up and start behaving like mature adults, then they will find that they will not be destroying the people in the country next door or in that detested ethnic group, but rather they will be destroying themselves. For the stakes are very high, and a global response is required, for united we stand or divided we fall, and it is a long way to the bottom of that looming gorge.
The problem with ‘reformed Capitalism'
Just as nationalism and ‘socialism in one country' or even ‘reform in one country' are obsolete political positions, so in the same way the concept of ‘reformed Capitalism' is obsolete. There are two problems here. The first is that robots do not purchase products, and programming a robot to purchase products to maintain the capitalist mode of production is just ridiculous. This problem will only become more and more severe as time goes by. The second problem with capitalism is that in order to have capitalists you must have consumers and you must consume in a never ending cycle. It is impossible to stop, even if that means that lemmings plunge over the cliff.Now capitalism is based upon ‘individualism' as opposed to the ‘social commons' and is based upon 'competition' for ' personal success' rather than 'cooperation' for 'mutual survival'. As a result there is no rational production under capitalism. Capitalism will destroy the Amazon rain forest. Once capitalism begins to destroy a forest, it must continue until it has destroyed the last tree. As you can see from the example in America, declaring a region to be protected old growth or a national forest reserve does no good, for when the pressures of business and the maintenance of the endless cycle of product consumption demand that capitalism enter the set aside areas, capitalism enters those areas.
Capitalism must devour and destroy the entire planet. To ‘regulate' capitalism to force it stop destructive practices is to say to a capitalist corporation ‘go bankrupt, go away and die.' Capitalism must spew gases into the atmosphere, even to the point of unleashing destructive forces of apocalyptic dimensions. Capitalism must devour and produce and consume in an endless irrational cycle. Rational regulated behavior would result in total economic collapse of the capitalist system. It is for these obvious reasons that if you plan to ‘reform' capitalism you will be fighting a rear guard battle forever, a battle which as we can see, always was doomed to failure from the very start due to the structural flaws in capitalism itself, and in the end so called ‘reform capitalism' leads to wide spread planetary devastation of the type now building up all over this planet. Even now, as the oceans warm, and the coral reefs bleach and die from the extra heat, and the acids build up in the oceans, and millions of animals are pushed to extinction, and the rain forests are falling, and the ice is melting and Siberia is thawing and preparing to puke up sudden, rapid climate change, even now capitalism cannot stop, but rather the politicians all over the world continue to obey their global masters and push through that neoliberal agenda as though there was no tomorrow. Thus the true nature of capitalism is being revealed for what it is and what it always has been, and there is no reforming a system so fatally riddled with irrationality and with systemic structural flaws as is the case with capitalism.
Socialism on one planet
It is obvious that what must happen as events follow their natural course is that the people of the nations of the world will have to, sooner or later, run into one to many brick walls as they find themselves mounting futile resistance to neoliberal Globalization while remaining divided into archaic national structures. Now given that no nationalist politician can offer anything more than empty populist demagoguery combined with underhanded attempts at imposing neoliberalism at the best of times, and naked neoliberalism at the worst, and since nothing can now alter or change this reality, it is inevitable that a global consciousness is developing as people of all nations must gradually become aware that they all share a common interest and a common destiny and that no one can anymore seek their own good without thinking of the good of the global community. To do otherwise is to fall before the strategic attacks being launched against the nation states. Divide and conquer.Now this leads one to presume the rise of a global movement, which can be either good or bad, depending on from where this trend towards globalization of the political structures emerges. It can emerge from above or from below. It is inevitable that the result must be the rise of the world's first supra-national state. In response to the rise of public discontent due to the process of job loss and de-industrialization one could predict that the first multinational state should arise from the ashes of the once highly industrialized clique of the world's former great powers - such as the G-7 countries. Now if the impetus driving the rise of this supra-national state comes down from above, given the rising popular discontent in these nations, one could also presume that under some ruse such as ‘the war against terrorism' (the old canard that has been used since ancient history as the cover story for imperialism, colonialism and domination) this could result in the formation of a multinational police state. Even now the fragmented remains of the nation states of the G-7 are already responding to their decline by introducing police state measures, one small step at a time.
Furthermore, capitalism is in terminal decline and given the trend towards developing ecological disasters combined with economic decline and disintegration, capitalism will lose all credibility. Given the drive towards maintaining a system of dominance on this planet, the penalty that humanity could be facing for failure to overcome factionalism and petty nationalism and socially conditioned bigotries is to set in process a chain of events that in the end produces a type of transnational ‘Stalinist' state, masquerading as ‘socialism', but in actuality creating a new system of domination.
One of the reasons why I am concerned about this potential development is due to both the intractable quality I have encountered in human nature, combined with the fact that we are not alone. Here I encounter another one of those roadblocks I was referring to previously, in that I know that it is not possible to have ‘socialism on one planet'.
Now Marxists will tell you that the defining characteristic of human societies throughout history is based upon material property relations between different classes of people. The world has been divided between elites and lower classes, and what separates these classes is property relations. For example a landlord owns the field, and the serf does the labor. A capitalist owns the means of production and the worker supplies the labor. In even earlier times you had masters, who owned the property, and slaves who did the work. All of this is obvious, but what Marxism does not provide aan nswer to the question, ‘how did these property relations originate.'
I think it was Kissinger who once said, ‘control the stomach, and you rule the world.' It is on this principle that the unequal property relations characteristic of human society have always been based. Therefore we can see that if domination is the end goal, exploitation of the stomach is the means to the end.
Now having a stomach does not automatically lead to exploitation, but rather exploitation is a thing unto itself, and has been superimposed on human civilization. There have been examples of tribal organization of human societies that are based upon cooperation, and are not exploitative, nor do they exhibit class based differences in wealth. However it is unheard of to hear of a state that was not stratified.
Now if it were true that we are alone, then it would also be possible to have socialism on one planet. But if we are not alone, but the truth of the matter is that our civilization is actually bound together with another, then it is quite obvious that it is impossible to analyze the root causes of the development of human systems without including an analysis of the total system in which human civilization only functions as a part, and not the whole. What is required under such a scenario is permanent revolution, in that our revolution is tied to fate of the overall revolution, and the total revolution does not include just the limits of this planet in its scope. Even though I know this to be true, I normally keep quiet about it, given the nature of the current situation, but given how today I have decided to break with tradition and go out on a limb, and speak about the unspeakable, I thought that I would end this piece by introducing people to the requirements of permanent revolution, in this case a theory which adequately encompasses reality, for even if it might be the case today that people continue to be unable to hear what I am attempting to tell them, it will not always be this way, and one of the most sure and certain ways to find that out, by the way, would be to have socialism on one planet, and then watch what happens next.
There will be a response, and nothing that currently remains hidden will remain hidden, but will eventually be fully revealed, and one of the best ways that I can help to facilitate this process is to do as I am doing today, and break the taboos, and begin a process of ‘conditioning' the human race as well, and in this way by making secrecy a zero sum game, and by inflicting losses, I can contribute to the development of a situation wherein the costs of not reacting outweigh the shocking costs of having the truth suddenly revealed.
