The war god

"When the lord your god has led you into the land you are entering to make your own, nations will fall before you. You must lay them under solemn ban and show them no pity." "The lord your god has given you this land as your own. All your fighting men must take up arms and march." Deut. 3:18

The doctrine of inherent sin

The Bible records the transition from tribal life to through the rise of the earliest states. The rise of the state occurred concurrent with the development of systems of domination, and this is evident both in the authoritarian structure of the state, and the division between the wealthy ruler and the laboring subjects, but also in the drive to establish imperialist empires, and thus extend this domination over the entire known world.

Consequently, given the constant war fare that then ensued, as battling elites struggled for imperial domination, the gods of the Bible and the surrounding cultures were war gods, and the wars were then viewed as contests between rival war gods with victory in warfare was seen as justification of the religious system of the conquering nation. (It was common practice to install the image of the victorious war god in the temple of the vanquished as a symbol of this form of religious justification, and thus we find the ancient Israelites focused on validating their belief system through victorious warfare, which is one of the dominant themes of the bible up to about the end of the book of Chronicles, which is most of the first half of what became known as the Old Testament...this focus on militarism did not change until the time of the Jewish prophets who were militant in their anti-war position, which then functions as a critique of the earlier ideology of the Jewish people previous to that time, for these two conflicting points of view are not complementary).

The early Jewish religion was preoccupied with real estate, and with warfare and conquest, because the early Jewish state, like its neighbors, was involved in the great contest to establish domination through military contest, and thus establish Jewish hegemony. The establishment of Jewish hegemony and Jewish domination is one of the recurring themes in what are portrayed as the conversations of Moses, wherein the Jewish people are told that if they learn to follow orders in a militarized religious system, the war god would then ensure that they achieved domination over other nations, becoming ‘the head and not the tail.'

It is noteworthy here that according to the story told in the Bible the Moses figure led the Jewish people out of enslavement under the reigning Superpower of the time, Egypt, and this we are told, took place through displays of might and power of God. No sooner had the Jewish people left Egypt, when they found themselves under the military dictatorship of a war god, and strangely enough, so we are told, this war god was suddenly found impotent. Apparently, having exhausted all powers in confronting the armies of Pharaoh, the war god had no strength left to deal with the inhabitants of the promised land, and thus this god had to resort to ‘training future generations of Israelites in the art of warfare, that is, all those who had not learned it before,' (to quote the justification for this state of affairs given in the Bible).

Having achieved liberation from imperialist slavery, now the Israelites were to be trained as the new Imperialist slave drivers themselves, since, apparently, there is nothing wrong with being an imperialist slave driver provided that you are the imperialist and not the slave, or so it would seem. Consequently we see the Israelites coming under the command of religious figures and priests who function as military trainers and generals, conveying the orders and commands of a very dictatorial war god, who having become exhausted in Egypt, or perhaps badly injured, was now reduced to sending telegrams to priests, who would then convey these military commands to the people. Apparently, then, the principle is that when priests take charge, the war god takes a vacation, while keeping in touch by telephone. From that point on, the people are on their own, and will have to conquer empires in the usual way this is done, through bloodshed and battle amidst blood and gore, while the war god only provides moral support for the struggle, war gods not being much good at warring themselves, and thus requiring the establishment of the religious military industrial complex in order to spread the dominion of the chosen people..

To facilitate this process the priests concocted what is obviously transparent nonsense and contradictory quackery, this being the sort of twaddle that is required when no war god is present in person to get all that difficult warring out of the way in short order. That conquest of an empire would take generations, with the war god keeping in touch by long distance, supposedly relaying the quackery which would then passed on as divine commandments by priests, who also wrote it all down, preserving their contradictory war propaganda for future generations.

The justification given for war and conquest was found in the special contribution of Jewish priests to development of imperialist propaganda systems, the doctrine of inherent sin. This doctrine served two purposes. First it justified the killing and slaughter of the targeted victims, who were viciously smeared as inherently sinful, and since all good soldiers fight for the noble and righteous cause, slaughtering the evil to save the world, such a doctrine was required. The second function of the doctrine of inherent sin was to hold together the entire imperialist crusade over the generations that the process would take, during which time there would be lost battles and setbacks. When this occurred the priest could blame the loss of a battle on the sins of the people, usually in the form of another one of those bad tempered rants sent by telephone by the wrathful war god. You see, when you are the specially chosen people of the only one true war god, and you lose a war, that brings into question the special war making powers of that god, which then brings into question the validity of your religious systems and your priests. The doctrine of inherent sin therefore served to transfer guilt from the fraudulent imperialist religious system onto the ordinary citizen, and consequently this increased the power of the priests, who then developed elaborate rituals involving animals sacrifices to atone for sin and sooth the angry war god. The priests also had a legal monopoly on the sale of these animals, which also brought in a lot of donations money, especially when the list of sins increased, as you can see for yourself, by reading those lengthy lists of sins in the Bible. This included lists of common behaviors, including sexual practices, such as common orgasms, which were sins, and even monthly menstruation, which ensured that people would always be guilty of some sin, and always paying money to priests, which would also serve to hold together the questionable system of religious brainwashing, which otherwise would have collapsed.

It is a testament to the power and the cleverness of the ancient Levitical priesthood of Israel that the system they invented was even able to survive the catastrophic military defeats by both Assyria and later the Babylonians, that destroyed the nation state, and left Israel perpetually in bondage to imperialist powers once again, this time with no Moses story of deliverance to cushion the blow. The people took on the guilt of sin, which they then believed had caused the war god to hand them over to their enemies. It was a fault of their own, not of their imperialist religious system, and not of their dominating priestly caste. Thus this clique of priests were even to survive the collapse of the war god, proving quite flexible in inventing a new war god figure, who would come at some unspecified point in the future, and lead Israel to military victory achieving total domination of the world (the Jewish war god messiah). This clique of priests were still selling their animals in the temple during the time of Jesus figure, who we are told, drove them out of the temple with a whip, calling them ‘a band of thieves'.

The power of superstition

That certain devout Jewish believers continue to wait to this very day for the reappearance of the war god, and continue to dream of Jewish imperialist domination of the world is a testament to that truly weird power that religious systems of indoctrination can have, this particularly violent superstition having survived to the modern age, and resulted in that monstrous system of oppression and banditry we see today in the looting, robbery and violent oppression of the Palestinians by the modern expansionist Jewish imperialist state, which continues to live out the contradictions of ancient Jewish religion. Once again there is no war god around to drive the Palestinians out of the promised land, and so once again we see that the task falls to the Jewish military to purge the land of the unclean and the filthy elements to clear the way for Jewish settlement. Thus we see the Bible coming alive before our very eyes, for this is simply the reenacting of a very ancient story first told on the page of the Bible.

All this, the fundamentalist Christian Zionists insist, is evidence for a divine miracle being performed by the Jewish war god. Such cruelty and robbery we are told, was predicted long ago by the prophets, although the truth be told, those prophecies were predictions that the Jewish people would return from exile in Babylon, which then happened when the Persians conquered the short lived Babylonian empire. The Babylonian empire was short lived because the Babylonians engendered the hostility of the conquered nations, by following a policy of scattering the populations in the hopes of destroying their national identity, which led to reaction. As well the Babylonians suffered from imperial overstretch, weakening themselves by attempting stupid things like the unsuccessful conquest of Egypt or Tyre, which then brought their empire down before the Persians in just a matter of decades. Babylon was not one of the longer lasting empires, but such was the price of arrogant hubris and the haughty ambitions that resulted. When the Jewish prophets spoke of the return of the Israelites to their land, they were predicting the collapse of the Babylonian empire, and these words have been recycled for reuse today, simply because peddling the oppression in Israel as some kind of divine miracle is worth a fortune in donations money, and is the only thing that prevented a rapid collapse of religious superstition over the course of the latter half of the last century.

The Jewish war god proves today to be just as poor at working divine miracles today as was the case in the ancient times, as the bloody and messy process of using the Jewish military to rid the land of Palestinians demonstrates so clearly. Apparently the war god is still exhausted from that business dealing with Pharaoh in Egypt, and thus is found once again to be relying on human armies, a form of divine miracle that just takes forever to accomplish, and rather than impressing humanity, causes that war god to become a stench in the nostrils of decent people of every nation. Given the tough job ahead, that war god requires not only the constant prayers of Christian Zionists, this apparently being some way of imparting much needed strength into that otherwise weakening war god, but the war god always requires constant lobbying of the American congress, as well as billions of dollars in support money, as well as public relations to freshen up the image of Israel as the bloody process of slaughter and robbery drags on for endless decades.

Now this slow process of imperialist colonization and dispossession angers any true Christian Zionist and any true right wing Rabbi or Jewish settler, for all of this is a breaking of the laws of war as laid out by that genocidal war god of the Bible. That war god ordered the Jewish people to commit acts of genocide and just kill every single dirty sand nigger and get it over with, and as you can tell by reading the Bible, one thing that always enraged that war god was to find that the Jewish army spared some of those sand niggers, which was sure to be a source of nothing but sin for the whole nation, not to mention being a direct disobedience of military orders.

For you see, as all Christian Zionists and all right wing Rabbis and Jewish Settlers understand, the Jewish people are supposed to be genocidal Nazis and their orders are to exterminate the sub- humans, the sand niggers, that dirty and inherently sinful lower race. Even the smallest mercy shown to Palestinians therefore is an outrage, and one must assume that now the Rabbis and the Christian religious right and all those right wing settlers must be placing all their hope in Netanyahu, in the hopes that finally, at long last, some one might take the lead of the Jewish military and finally start obeying Moses and the war god, making Israel into a truly religious nation that does what is right as spelled out int he Holy Torah, and thus bring in the Final Solution to that Palestinian problem.

Jewish Guilt and the Holocaust

Now we know that you reap what you sow. And thousands of years ago Israel sowed a seed of genocide, which was carved into the horns of their altars with a diamond pointed engraving tool. It then turned out that later generations of Christian imperialists required some way to white wash the meaning of a crucifixion, so that instead of being a method of torturing dissidents to death by the Roman state, the crucifixion could instead become about some god like being bleeding to death to pay for original sin, and for this purpose it proved quite helpful for those church imperialists to recycle that old Jewish cow sacrificing doctrine. Just as a cow bled to death to pay for the sins of Israel when they lost an imperialist war, thus pissing off that bad tempered war god just one more time, so it turned out that the pissed off war god was supremely pissed off at all of humanity, and the only way to sooth the angered god was by bleeding the Jesus figure to death on a cross much as Jewish priests bled cows. Thus was born Christian theology.

Well at the same time the Christian imperialists recycled that cow doctrine and the doctrine of inherent sin that went along with it, they also recycled all that genocidal racism and serial killer war propaganda cooked up by those cabals of Jewish priests, since the ancient Jewish state was one of the most violently murderous of all the ancient up and coming imperialist empires, since most empires just conquered the surrounding nations, but the Jewish imperialists were determined to do the Hitler thing, and slaughter them all, men, women and children, so that they could then move in the master race and take over completely, without the bother of having to deal with any left over sand niggers, the sub-humans.

Now it is a testament to the monstrous power of evil religion that even after the Holocaust and the genocide which targeted the Jewish people, to this day, there are still monstrously twisted individuals in both America and Israel, people who are so deformed by the doctrines of religion, that they learned nothing from the Holocaust, and now are targeting the Palestinians with the same hideous ideology and the same genocidal mentality that targeted the Jewish people in Nazi Germany. Religious superstition is a particularly potent form of pollution and religious bigotry and ignorance are one of the most persistent forms of ideological brainwashing used to destroy human life on this planet, as consideration of this matter should make clear, thus making Israel into a light unto the nations, after all, although not perhaps in the way they might have preferred.

But let us not single out the Jewish people as an object lesson for humanity. Christians were also polluted by the genocidal racism of ancient Jewish priests, as you can make note of when you notice how few Indians are left in places like America, genocidal war fare being a particularly effective way of clearing the countryside for colonization, as Jewish priests understood, which is why they insisted on genocide in the first place. Genocidal racism and slaughter also targeted the indigenous peoples of the third world, having become thoroughly ingrained in the imperialist Christian mind, along with that doctrine of sin, which justified it all, for you really do have to get rid of the sinful races, the sub-humans.

From the Christian point of view, that would include getting rid of those sinful Jews, as you can tell by all those pogroms and persecutions of the Jewish people over the centuries. As Martin Luther, a particularly rabid anti-Semite said, he wished he could burn down the houses of the Jews and remove every trace of them from the country. Luther did not get his wish, at least not right away. That would take centuries, and would have to wait for Hitler, who finally lost patience with those sinful and evil sub-humans, and set about the task of doing genocide against the Jewish people, in the hopes of just wiping them right off the face of the earth.

Hitler spoke approvingly of the genocide practiced against the American Indians, indicating that when he took over Russia and her satellite states, he intended to do the same thing (and he complained bitterly about the hypocrisy of his American foes). The genocide against the Native Americans can be traced back to the influence on Christians of the time by the ancient Jewish war god.

"The land you are invading is foul because of the filthiness of the natives. Their land is filled with filth from end to end because of the foulness of the natives. So you must not marry them or be concerned with their prosperity, so that yourselves may grow strong and eat the best of what the country produces yourself, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.'" Ezra 9:10

"Drive out all the natives before you. You shall take possession of their land and settle it, for I, the Lord, have given it to you as your property. Divide it up among your clans." Num. 33:52

Their sons invaded and conquered the land and humbled the natives when you gave into their hands the natives of the land to be treated just as they pleased. Neh. 9

Now it is the doctrine of right wing Zionists which insists, vociferously you might notice, that the genocide of the Jewish people was totally unique, not like any other genocide in history, thus making the Jewish people into special victims. This then gives the Jewish people a special dispensation to target the Palestinians with that same oppression and that same genocidal mentality with which the Jewish people were targeted by Hitler, and which the Christians targeted the Jews previous to that time, not to mention the Natives all over the planet, and which the Jewish people originally targeted those sand niggers so many thousands of years ago.

If the truth be told, there was nothing really all that unique about the Holocaust, the Jewish genocide, in that all genocide is driven by imperialist economics. As Hitler said, he wasn't going to fork over lunch money for that many Jews, for it would cost Germany a fortune. For you see, all genocides are the same, wherever they occur, whether it was furious battles between the impoverished over scarce resources in a place like Rwanda, or whether it was Hitler targeting the Jews, for you see genocide is always the most cost effective solution.

What we can learn from Israel is both the astonishing power of religious systems of brainwashing but also a lesson in how you reap what you sow. For Israel sowed genocide, and then given that Christian imperialists just happened to find it useful for propaganda reasons to confiscate these Jewish genocidal writings, in the end of it all, Jewish people then reaped genocide themselves.

The point to made here, which no one would dare to make, given the vociferous nature of the Jewish lobby, is that Jewish people themselves share some guilt in the holocaust, and are not virgin white victims, as the horrible nature of those monstrous ancient writings testifies. It is this unconscious guilt which is probably the driving force behind the vociferous nature of Jewish lobbying, for me thinks they do protest to much, and there is a reason for that. This is not to single out Jewish people as genocidal, for Christians also have a share in monstrous guilt, as the poverty and ongoing enslavement of the third world testifies, and there can be no atonement for their guilt so long as those racist documents continue to be printed in the millions of copies and distributed around the planet as though somehow something that offensive was a great gift to humanity.

Sin, the product of social processes

So looking at it all, we can see that something called ‘sin' does exist, as the Bible testifies, since the Bible is the encapsulation of sin, since the Bible is sin. Yes, the Bible is sinful, and so it is no surprise that religious people are sinners, for can anyone take into their minds, and then deep into their spirits something as sinful as the Bible and not become guilty of sin themselves. So then the true purpose of the Bible is to create a world full of unsaved sinners. Such sinners will never be saved so long as the moral corruption and spiritual filthiness of the Bible continues to be tolerated.

What we can clearly see by studying that special form of sinfulness and cruelty so unique to religious sinners, is that sin is the product of social conditioning. It is one of the great hypocrisies of religion to talk about sin and condemn sin, for religion is sin, which is obvious, or at least it should be, and when it is not, this is a testimony to that peculiar power of spreading mass confusion that has always been the special accomplishment of systems of religious brainwashing.

The study of religious sin is therefore instructive, for just as the study of religious propaganda and indoctrination serves to illuminate the workings of systems of brainwashing, since they all share common characteristics, so to the study of religious sin illuminates the origins of sin, and what we see here is that sin is not ‘original' but rather sin is induced. If sin was original, then obviously people would have no need for religion, for they would have sinned without the intervention of priests, and neither would they have required theology, for they would have sinned without being saved. Give that people are first saved and then they sin we can see clearly that human infants are born innocent, and guilt is something that must be nurtured and inculcated by a social system determined to perpetuate systems of sin. When we notice that religious sin exists in the service of imperialism, concerned as it is with the accumulation of real estate and various other financial assets, we can then learn from religion that the process of creating sinners is being done to facilitate the accumulation of wealth and power. This becomes clearer when we notice that pattern throughout history whereby priests were always found by the side of the reigning Caesar, and were elites themselves, Therefore that their doctrines served to create the sinners elitism required to do the oppressive acts that are necessary to criminally acquire wealth is no surprise.

So then the source of sin is the desire for social inequality, the desire for money and real estate and wealth and power in systems of domination which are required to facilitate the accumulation of wealth, since no one can become rich by themselves, but rather they must exploit the labor of many other human beings, and the richer they become, the greater must be their exploitation.

So then we can see that truly religion is the ‘light of the world', even if not in quite the way religion would prefer.

Original Sin - the doctrine of social reaction

There is a distinction to be made between the earlier Jewish doctrine which I refer to as ‘inherent sin' and the later Christian imperialist doctrine of ‘original sin'. According to Jewish doctrine if someone were to sin, they then became ‘inherently sinful', which means that somehow the sin became a part of them, making them unclean, and furthermore, sin could also make the land itself impure. The sacrifice for sin of a dead cow, or a pigeon, or perhaps a sheep, could then purify one of sin, at least until a person once again ran afoul of those rules, which was pretty easy, given how even menstruating once a month or having an orgasm was a sin, in which case it was back to the priest to spend more money on one of those animals.

Now if one became inherently sinful, this might lead a person to ask some questions about the nature of sin. For example, we know that the natives of the land were inherently sinful, and thus genocide was the only solution, but a person might ask how it was that these natives became sinful. The answer was ‘because of abominable practices of those natives', such conduct which had then made them inherently sinful as well as polluting the land. But that is hardly an answer. Just what caused them to do ‘abominable practices'. One might think that a small child only learned these abominable practices from their parents, and thus it hardly seems right to be massacring children for what they learned from their parents. Perhaps there might be a better way to deal with the sin other than genocide.

Here we can see that in its undeveloped form the doctrine of sin can be a problem, because it leads to a tendency to perhaps criticize society, when what we want is a doctrine that does not question the social order, thus promoting patriotism and obedience, but rather instead targets individual sinners for criticism and condemnation, thus squelching every form of social critique and inhibiting such things as protest of dissent in the process.

Here we can begin to understand the true genius of those Christian imperialists, in formulating the doctrine of ‘original sin' for there is no need to begin asking those troubling questions, for the origins of sin are quite clearly in the human flesh, and thus we can criticize genitals while the social order is left intact and never questioned.

For those who wonder why the religious right is always harping about sex and genitals, while not being bothered much by injustice, systems of brutal oppression, the razing of entire cities like Falluhjah, the criminal looting of Iraq's oil wells, and so on, well there is your answer. The doctrine of original sin is the doctrine of social reaction. Its function is to suppress all dissent while targeting ‘individual sinners.' While even the religious right knows that there are problems with the world, they also know that the problems are not caused by the social order, but rather what we have here is a problem of millions and billions of individual original sinners.

The solution to every world problem is therefore to wash each sinner in the blood of Jesus, a kind of magical ritual that washes off that original sin, as is proved each time an alcoholic stops drinking, or someone unmarried learns to practice celibacy, and are there not so many testimonies to the marvelous miracle working power of Jesus. Each one of these maudlin testimonials is supposed to be proof positive not only that original sin does exist, but that the detergent power of god blood truly is a highly effective cleansing bleach, when actually all it really is a testimonial to the terrifying nature of Christian doctrines which inculcate and then exploit guilt which then makes the terrorism of Christian punishments seem like a very distinct possibility. Time and again this level of fear has proven to be enough to get someone to perhaps stop drinking, and this terrorism and psychological violence of Jesus is then acclaimed as a miracle. Evangelists will have to continue to brutally assault humanity for fear that they might not have any testimonials which would then mean that there was no evidence to present of original sin, or of the power a god's blood.

Theological contradictions

We can see then how a doctrine of sin, when sin is not ‘original' and thus passed on through sexuality, might then lead to a search for the root causes of sin, which then must lead to a criticism of society, since it could only be learned behaviors or propaganda that was the agent that produced any sin that might exist. With the doctrine of original sin there is no criticism of the social order, in fact criticism of social norms is itself defined as a sin, and society is uncritically accepted while individuals are targeted. There is one of those theological contradictions here, in that rightfully all criticism should not targeted the individual original sinner, but rather should target the creator of all original sin. For what we must have here is either a willful creation of sin by a creator who is the creator of sin, or we have incompetence or negligence. None of these are very good options for the creation of a theology, and for this reason theology ignores the questions, and instead becomes dogmatic and intolerant of dissent, the surest sign you can have that a system is riddled with fundamental contradictions.

If God is omnipotent then sin must have been willfully created by God, for if this was not the case, then God was not omnipotent. Therefore God must be unjust. It must also be the case that sin is in God, therefore God cannot be All Holy, for sin dwelt in God before sin was created, and this must have been true, for God is omnipotent (all powerful).

If God is omnipotent then God cannot be holy. This will create a problem later for apologists use as their justification for the existence of hellfire the fact that God is completely and totally holy. God we are told is so extremely holy, that God cannot tolerate sin, and hence God sends sinners to hellfire, this extreme punishment just being the corollary of how extremely holy is God. This cannot be true, for this supposed extremely holy being created sin in the first place, since there is nothing that exists that can exist apart from the foreknowledge and the will of an omnipotent and omniscient God (all powerful and all knowing). Such a being must therefore be completely responsible, and if this is not true, then there must be something that can exist which is beyond the power and control of this being, and it must also be true that there are some things that this being cannot know, since only by not knowing would such a being be found to be innocent of the knowledge of sin, and thus so extremely holy, thus justifying hellfire, thus creating that glue which propagandists are going to require to infuse minds with the superstition required to create those religious sinners which is the ultimate goal of conversion. But if God is holy this means that God is capable of error, which means that it would be hypocritical of God to judge error in others, and really it should be God who burns..

All this nonsense will be required if somehow evangelists are going to portray the ruthless domination of the powerful over the weak and the helpless as ‘holy', which mimics imperialist systems of domination, which are also fear based and rely on terrorism to force compliance. Since the task of religion is the task of consolidating imperialism and white washing the violence of the system, a contradictory theology is required, since what is unholy must be made to be holy, and here we find the impossible contradiction.

The internal contradictions of theology compound one upon the other, the more questions you ask, for the reason that theology has the task of making what is evil seem good, which is the fundamental contradiction of religion. This explains the famous Christian intolerance, or that bit about how no one must be allowed to question the divine order, for it turns out that the Christian order cannot bear up under questioning. Which then indicates that Christian theology is false, and since that is not acceptable you are not supposed to question it so that you will not find out the truth, since apparently if you know the lie then the lie will set you free.

The unconscious influence of religion

It is said to be the task of the religious to both diagnose and then remove sin, but this is hypocritical. Religion cannot diagnose sin, because religion the purpose of religion is to create that special form of blindness that makes sinners feel righteous, for religious conversion is the creation of a sinner, and those so converted do not know that they are sinners, but rather become convinced that they are saints when they sin.

Now no house built on a pile of sand can survive an earthquake. And religion is based upon the Big Lie and therefore religion was not a house founded upon a rock. Therefore it is not surprising to see that the earthquake eventually came, even though the house seemed to stand for centuries, and now religion is collapsing. Religion is in decline for the reason that religion is false. There are profound historical processes at work which are responsible for the destruction of the superstitions of the past, which have been revealed as fraudulent. This was inevitable, for religion is merely imperialism in disguise, and for this reason religion was constructed upon a foundation of lies.

Even though religion itself is in terminal decline, this does not mean that the world view of religion is going through decline at the same time. For people still continue to view the world through the lense provided by religion even though religion plays no part in their lives. We can see that people continue to view the individuals who have been brutalized and destroyed by the violence of their society as evil, as sinners, and thus a place like America has the largest prison complex in existence in the world, for prison and punishment is the only correct way to treat a sinner.

Now it was the influence of a culture infused with Christianity that created American society, and so it is no surprise to find that American society is infused with injustice and its social systems are sinful. And sinful social systems produce sinners, because that is what they were intended to do. The American system is an imperialist system, and its purpose for existence is the enrichment of a tiny elite at the expense of the rest of the population. The result of this process is the creation of poverty, and poverty leads to stress and deprivation and violence, and eventually poverty will lead to crime. People are not born criminals, but rather criminals must be formed and shaped. Every criminal was once a small new born baby, and one must ask what happened to them since that time.

So then, just because Christianity is dying and disappearing, that does not mean that the false ideology of Christianity is also dying, for this ideology remains rooted in the human unconscious, and there can be no hope for justice or peace on earth until even the last bit of the remaining root of that false system is pulled out of the human unconscious, a process that involves more than simply not going to church.

The doctrine of enlightenment

The first step in this process of reforming the human mind must be conscious awareness of the process of social conditioning that first planted these false ideas in the human unconscious, as well as the purpose and the intended functioning of such ideologies.

Early in the history of the Christian movement there emerged two competing tendencies. One, the ideology of sin and the doctrine of original sin, became orthodox, because these concepts are imperialist doctrines, and the social order of the time was that of Imperial Rome. The competing doctrine was that of enlightenment, which held that the problem of humanity was a lack of enlightenment and therefore the solution to the human problem was to be found in understanding. Enlightenment therefore must focus attention on systems of propaganda, which means that enlightenment must critique the social system, and thus this doctrine is egalitarian, and for that reason it was declared a heresy and ruthlessly eliminated. So ruthless was the persecution of this early movement that not a trace of it remained on the earth, and it would have disappeared completely if not for the fact that documents, some of which encapsulated this concept, were rediscovered hidden in a cave in the dry desert in the middle of the last century, where they had been secretly preserved for thousands of years.

A thorough examination of the problem at hand illustrates that enlightenment is the required solution to the problems created by religious indoctrination, and this indicates that what was damned as a heresy by the imperialist social system, was damned for good reason, in that what was heresy was what was actually the truth, while what was deemed orthodox was actually heresy.

The psychology of religious control

The doctrine of ‘sin' is the doctrine of imperialism, for it is the doctrine of militarism, and militarism is required if imperialism is to cloak its evil deeds and appear good, and thus survive in a world created not for evil but rather created for good.

The Christian movement originally arose during a time of ferment and turmoil, when old systems were in collapse, and nothing new had yet arisen to take the place of what no longer functioned. Thus the situation is similar to what exists today in that it is now the imperial Christian doctrine which has been condemned by history as obsolete, and thus in collapse. This leads one to wonder what sort of new imperialist religion might arise from the earth to fill the void left behind now that the Christian doctrine is no more.

I have been considering the possibility that new monstrous system of oppression and mass deception might arise out of the ferment of what is broadly referred to as ‘the New Age Movement' (which is a blanket description for disparate movements, and doesn't mean much more than the blanket description ‘Gnostic' once meant when applied to widely differing Christian groupings long ago). This seems unlikely, in that the doctrine required by the military industrial complex is the doctrine of original sin. The doctrine of sin alone is not good enough, and Christian imperialism only survived as long as it did because the doctrine of original sin stifles all criticism of the social order, while just a doctrine of ‘sin' not only leaves open the possibility of social critique, it actually encourages critical examination of society in order to locate the source of sin.

Therefore the military industrial complex requires the doctrine of ‘original sin' which means that the military requires Christianity, since it would be pointless for a New Age substitute to appear which merely recycled the discredited rubbish which has already led to the collapse of Christian Imperialism.

However given the need for imperialism for a new religion, or a new doctrine, to justify more oppression so as to extend the reign of injustice and greed upon the earth, I have found myself wondering about the ways and means that this new deceitful might yet emerge to replace dead Christianity.

Science is the new rising ideology and thus it would probably be to science that imperialism would turn next. One possible means of reproducing the ideology of ‘original sin' might be through the employment of the ‘theory of evolution'. It could be argued that humanity is by its very nature evil and violent, this behavior having evolved over thousands of years. For this reason everyone is born with this ‘original genetic sin' within them, which is why we will need a military for protection against all this violence, which comes not from society, but rather from deep within human beings, who have evolved that way, thus making militarism both natural and sensible.

Now we need to understand here that systems of propaganda have successfully created a world full of violence, and it is clear that this violence is a product of the systems of the past, which were designed to facilitate warfare and aggression, which is quite clearly the case, as a study of religion, the ideology of those days, confirms. Now we have inherited the world that religion created, which is a world full of conquered, plundered colonies and gross poverty and the struggle and dehumanization and brutalization and violence that goes along with such conditions. So therefore the human experience exists which could then be used as the ‘evidence' to justify this new doctrine of ‘evolutionary original sin', which could then replace collapsed Christianity, and keep the military going for a few more centuries, assuming that they don't completely destroy the planet before then, which given present trends seems most likely to be the outcome of continued militarism, in which case perhaps this new pseudo-religious doctrine could keep them going for a few more decades.

What would remain then would be for some theologians to begin working that new doctrine of evolutionary original sin into some New Age quackery to come up with something with some staying power, since the military requires this service, as do the elites in whose service the military is employed.

Christianity has proved a master of mystifying common human psychological processes, and since I am familiar with the way this mystification works I am concerned in that this same process could be misused in new forms of exploitation since it would seem that many people are not conscious of its operation.

Christianity manipulates a common weakness that people have in that they require acceptance, and the influence that this exerts is typically referred to as ‘peer pressure'. Guilt feelings can be inspired through the cynical manipulation of peer pressure, and these guilt feelings can then be used as evidence to validate ‘sinfulness', which then can be used to validate theology. I can disapprove of you, and you can respond as people do by worrying about it, and then using this pressure tactic I can cynically manipulate you into feeling guilty simply by withholding my approval. Among Christians I have observed that this crude form of manipulation can then be interpreted as 'the move of the holy ghost' for this ghost comes to 'convict of sin' when actually all that really happened is that someone just manipulated another person using peer pressure, and made them feel 'guilty' for violating group norms, and then mystified the process by invoking a ghost. Once guilt has been induced through vulgar manipulation of human nature, terrorism can then be invoked to instill that superstitious dread of the fear of punishment, which is the first critical step in the process of Christian brainwashing. In just this way ‘sin' can be both created and then ‘judged' with the process mystified by blaming it all on a Holy Ghost. This then gives doctrines validation. So it then follows that you will hear converts speaking of what they call the powerful personal encounter with Jesus when they got saved, and while the experience was very real, it was actually the mystification of a common human weakness. Because any new religion must also validate and inculcate guilt so as to keep alive sin so as to maintain both trillions of dollars in military spending and such monstrous new projects as mini nukes or the domination of the planet using space weapons in orbit, it seems quite probably that any newly emerging system of deception will employ these same methods, since most remain unconscious of their operation, and the guilt that can be induced feels quite real, even when there is no real reason for guilt, since all that happened is that an individual violated some social norm. People will continue to remain vulnerable to these gross forms of manipulation only so long as they remain unconscious of the true nature of this particular form of manipulation, which will then allow them to understand that the guilt so induced is false, and is therefore evidence for nothing at all.
