Here comes the Lord God

The world has been shattered. It has been toppled and hurled into the dust, and now it lies utterly broken. Suddenly, in a single moment, a day of judgment came upon the world, and the did not know it. The people had ears, but they did no hear. No mind ever understood, no one ever expected what we have seen and what we have heard. The prophets cover their mouths, for they receive no answer from on high. Of all her prophets there was not one whose head was not found to be covered with a veil. They did not see, nor did they understand, and so their prophecies perished, and no one remembers them anymore. Because they rejected the knowledge of YAHWEH, so they were rejected. Everyone lacks knowledge and they have no understanding. Everyone has been revealed as having been ignorant. If they ask no one can answer. If they seek they cannot find, for the earth has been plunged into the darkness, and every where there is blackness and impenetrable gloom. All these things happened to them because they considered the matter, and then determined that they had no use for the knowledge of YAHWEH. They did not listen and so therefore it pleased YAHWEH to create a great famine on the face of the earth, a famine not for food nor for water, but a desperate famine for the Word of God.

The people wander like sheep from place, their faces aflame. Every face is frozen like a mask, eyes wide with terror, and a look of horror is found frozen in place on the faces of everyone. They turn to the prophets for answers, but all the prophets of the world have fallen. Though they build up their prophecies like a great wall, composed of brick following brick, a great storm burst out and the flood waters came, with great hail stones, and the wall was completely destroyed in a moment. Nothing now remains of those prophets or of their prophecies. They have been utterly ruined, and none of their prophecies came to pass.

The people have abandoned the prophets, for they did not prophesy. The watchmen were like sleeping dogs that are to tired to bark. All their watchmen were blind, and found sleeping at their posts. The people are found wandering like sheep without a shepherd, for all the shepherds have fallen into disgrace. They turn to their councils, but their councils have been thrown into confusion, and all their wise men have become fools. The priest is baffled and as it is in the congregation so it is for the minister. The people turn to the idols, but the idols have all been crushed and destroyed. Of all the idols found on the face of the earth, not one remains, for they have been completely destroyed in a single hour, and only YAHWEH is glorified on that day.

The Kings of the earth have been crushed, and all the pillars of the land have been toppled and destroyed. Everything high and lofty has hurled violently to the ground, into the dust of the earth. There remains nothing lofty, nothing raised up on the face of the earth on that day, for YAHWEH alone is exalted. The powerful have become weak. The have become as nothing, like dust on the scales, and a powerful wind has blown them away. The warrior has no courage, and the oppressor has no strength. The great pillars of the land have been broken and crushed and all those who work for hire are in mourning. A day of great trouble suddenly came upon them, from which there was no escape. The earth was plunged into darkness, and the end of it all was like the end of a very bitter day.

Assemble these people, a people who have eyes, but who cannot see, and who have ears, but they are deaf. All the nations have been gathered together. Who among them can explain to us our history, and clarify for us what has happened in the past? Who among them can interpret all that has come to pass on the earth. Let them produce their own witnesses and show us their evidence, so as to prove their case. Let all the people of the world who hear them respond by saying, ‘that is the truth.' Before YAHWEH there was no God, and after YAHWEH there will be no other. YAHWEH alone is God. Among all these idols no eye had seen nor had any ear ever heard of any other God who acts for those who are waiting. It was YAHWEH alone who declared it, and not some alien God among you. There is none who can deliver from YAHWEH's hand, and what YAHWEH does no one can undo.

Even through a seemingly impassable wilderness, choked with thickets and briars, YAHWEH has cleared a path, for as it was said, and it has proven to be true, that there is nothing impossible for YAHWEH. Has God's arm become weak? Does God not have a tongue? Yet here we find a godless people, who have lost all faith, who say, ‘God will do nothing, neither good nor bad. Tomorrow will be just like today. The prophet will proven before all people to have been nothing more than a wind bag, and it will be clear that The Word was not in him.' For they say, ‘for thousands of years no ear has heard, no eye has seen the works of any god in this place.' And I reply, ‘for thousands of years, your ancestors worshiped an idol, a god vain and useless. Though they cried to their idols for centuries, it did not answer them. What a useless thing it was. But they did not learn from the experience, nor did they take it to heart, for the idols still remain on the surface of a world rendered godless and unbelieving.

Therefore, as it was said, the ancestors ate the rotten grapes, and now you have been left with the rotten taste in your mouths.' The worthlessness of their idols have left them godless and now they are found faithless. They have at the end of it all become as deaf and as blind as the idols they worshiped. So it was that the Great Day of YAHWEH was destined to come upon them suddenly, like a thief in the night, in the age when they were least expecting this, and at the time when the idols were already found to be withering and soon to be left for dead . Although they heard warning, they did not comprehend, and so it was that they were snared and they were overwhelmed by terror on the day of incurable pain.

Therefore it was the will of YAHWEH to announce beforehand what must first happen. It was YAHWEH who spoke, and not some idol among you, and then suddenly YAHWEH acted, and brought it to pass. For YAHWEH is well familiar with your great stubbornness, your neck being as stiff as an iron pole and your brow like a brass plate. Therefore it was the will of YAHWEH to declare these things to you before they happened, so that no one could say, ‘they were my idol's doing. My idol, the god that I made for myself has ordained that these things happen.' Now will you not give careful thought to all this and admit that it was the truth? YAHWEH reveals the hidden things, the things that no one knew before. The heads of the prophets were covered, for the prophesy by means of the idol and it leads them astray into error. No one can claim, ‘I knew all this beforehand.' You did not know. No word of it ever reached your ears, for your ears were closed long, long ago.

What has become of the church? All her wise councils have led her astray. Now from out of the dust her voice can be heard whispering and squeaking. From her ancestors she inherited an idol. It led her astray and caused her to stumble into a ditch. Now the record of her deeds testifies against her, for her idol left her snared in cords of sin from which she cannot escape.

It has been said, ‘like mother, like daughter.' Israel was a mother, and she crafted an idol, a god of murder and theft and war mongering and a god of the vilest superstitions and worthless rituals. She had prophets, and the prophets within her were wise, for they knew that her idol would bring her to ruin and cover her with disgrace. But she did not listen. Israel was a mother, and she gave birth to the church, and now we see the daughter carrying forward the mother's idol. Into exile went mother, and her daughter followed quickly behind her. There they have both remained, right up to the present time.

What good came to the church from her doctrines and her theology, for at the end of it all it was revealed that not only was she cynical and godless, the inheritance she received from her ancestor's idol, but she also did not know YAHWEH. If her idol made her forget YAHWEH, what did she know. What kind of wisdom did she have? Her deeds now rise up to testify against her, and she can find no escape, for the idol has left her snared within cords of sin, and the knots hold her firmly in place.

How her ancestors turned things upside down. A crucifix is a crucifix, except for the one instance when it is not. YAHWEH said, ‘raise up the slave of tyrants.' The church married the tyrant, and then became just one more of those tyrants herself, and to this very day her first thought is always to find some way to keep slaves in their proper places, and maintain order, and she remains wedded to tyrants. The rebellion of that foolish religion she created led her astray and made her senseless, and so she understands nothing, and the day of YAHWEH came upon her and she was not expecting it. Her wisdom was revealed as folly, and nothing remains of her idol. She has been humiliated, for once again YAHWEH has said, ‘raise up the slave of tyrants,' and this time it was she who played the role of the petty tyrant and her victim, the very lowest of her victims, her favorite victim, YAHWEH has seen fit to exalt and lift up to high heaven.

How humiliating for her, but then as I said, a crucifix is crucifix, and it is obvious what a crucifixion is unless you ask her, in which case it turns out to not have been a crucifixion at all, but something else, altogether. She made it something else, something that would not embarrass that husband she married after she filed for divorce. For the truth is that YAHWEH left her with a gospel to preach (‘The tyrant crucifies slaves, so as to dominate and exploit them, but YAHWEH raises his victims from the grave. To the powerful, humiliation and poverty of spirit, to the slave liberation and the Glory of God.') She proved to be none to fond of revolution in Rome, and she isn't to fond of YAHWEH's ideas today, and so therefore, to protect her husband, she filed for divorce, and created an idol, so that she would have a gospel to preach. Her rotten grapes continued to turn mouths foul to the very day when she was leveled to the ground and her palace reduced to rubble. Let them say of her, ‘gone is idol, and what did she accomplish at the end of it all. Bitter were the fruits she harvested from the rebellious seed she had planted. Now her idol has been crushed and from the dust her voice can be heard whispering and squeaking, for she has been crushed under a heavy load of sin and she found no way to escape, for her sins surrounded her all sides.'

What became of her labors, for in spite of the best efforts of the church over the ages, the Kings of the earth have been utterly crushed, and the pillars of the land have been smashed and have been toppled into dust. They could not stand before YAHWEH, for they were oppressors and the deeds were wickedness, overflowing with injustice. They have left the whole world destroyed, full of robbery and the poverty and violence that was all they left behind as they plundered the whole world and feathered their own nests.

Everything high and mighty has been utterly crushed. The lowly have been exalted and the mighty have been greatly humbled. YAHWEH of Hosts has been revealed, full of righteousness and justice, over flowing with wrath and fury, and all the idols of the earth on which the Kings relied have been consumed in the fire. The King has fallen and his mighty fortresses has been destroyed. The poor, who were helpless before them, rise up, and the entire earth is filled with rejoicing and celebration. They swarm like locusts over the plunder and the loot, for YAHWEH has reduced the fortresses to rubble, so that they might be trampled under foot. The feet of the needy and the helpless trample the ruins of the high and lofty towers beneath their feet. For our God is YAHWEH, and there is no other God.

Around the world many peoples raise their voices and cry out for joy, acclaiming the from the west, the majesty of YAHWEH. Therefore let YAHWEH be glorified in the eastern regions, and the name of God in the coasts and islands of the sea. From the ends of the earth we have heard them sing ascribing beauty and righteousness to YAHWEH. The light of the moon has grown pale and the sun has lots it radiant glory for YAHWEH of Hosts has taken the throne and has been revealed in glory to the elders of God's people.

What good purpose therefore came out of the idols, for if they did not know YAHWEH, what did they know? Let it be said clearly that they did not know anything at all. On one single day the wisdom of the church became nonsense, and now no one remembers it anymore.

For if you confuse yourself, then you will be confused, and you blind yourself, you will be blind. You will become drunk, but not on beer, and you will stagger, but not from wine. For the idol covered the heads of her prophets and blinded the eyes of her seers, and so to them it all became an impenetrable ‘divine mystery'. If you were to ask them about it, they will reply, ‘no one knows.' It finally degenerated to the point that her religion became just rule upon rule, line upon line, book quote after book quote, a little here, a little there, so that as the church walked they did fall backwards, and they were injured, trapped and snared. For because their religion has degenerated to the point that it consists of nothing more than those human doctrines cooked up by their ‘fathers' which these people now memorize and repeat by rote repetition, therefore YAHWEH decided that once again marvelous deeds would be accomplished, and dreadful and astonishing events would come to pass. In one single hour the wisdom of their wise men perished, and the intelligence of their most intelligent became nonsense. What good purpose therefore came out of the idols, for if they did not know YAHWEH, what did they know? Let it be said clearly that they did not know anything at all.

I will encamp against you round about, and will besiege you with towers and I will raise siegeworks against you. Then deep from within the earth you shall speak, from low in the dust your words shall come; your voice shall come from the ground like the voice of a ghost, and your speech shall whisper out of the dust. But the multitude of your foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the ruthless like passing chaff. And in an instant, suddenly, you will be visited by YAHWEH of hosts with thunder and with earthquake and great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire. Behold, the name of YAHWEH comes from far, burning with anger, and in thick rising smoke; with lips that are full of indignation, and a tongue like a devouring fire; and breath which is like an overflowing stream that reaches up to the neck. YAHWEH will cause a majestic voice to be heard and the descending blow of God's arm to be seen, in furious anger and a flame of devouring fire, with a cloudburst and tempest and hailstones. YAHWEH is wise and brings disaster, and does not call back those words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the helpers of those who work iniquity. The fool will no more be called noble, nor the knave said to be honorable. For the fool speaks folly, and his mind plots iniquity: to practice ungodliness, to utter error concerning YAHWEH, to leave the craving of the hungry unsatisfied, and to deprive the thirsty of drink. The knaveries of the knave are evil; he devises wicked devices to ruin the poor with lying words, even when the plea of the needy is right. But he who is noble devises noble things, and by noble things he stands.

Truly the ‘salvation' they brought was a worthless delusion, a vain attempt at substitution, and though they labored, they did not bring to birth anyone to inhabit the earth. They struggled greatly, they pushed and cried out in labor, but all the church gave birth to at the end of it all was a fart.

"What was my beloved doing her house. She powders her nose, and anoints herself with perfume, preparing herself for her lover."

Through a land of hardship and distress, of lioness and roaring lion, of sand viper and venomous flying serpents, they conveyed their wealth on humps of camels and their treasures on the backs of donkeys to an unprofitable people. Worthless and futile was the help of Washington; therefore I have given her this name : The Dragon Subdued. They hurried down to Washington, to seek shelter under Pharaoh's protection, to take refuge under Pharaoh's shadow. Where did Pharaoh's protection lead? Only to humiliation and disgrace. Though his officers were in Iraq and his envoys reached as far as Iran, that unprofitable nation wound up leaving everyone in a sorry plight. They found neither help nor profit, only humiliation and disgrace.

The United States has fallenl, but not by human swords; a sword that no mortal wields has devoured Washington.

Woe betide the tyrant city, so filthy and foul. She heeded no warning voice, and she took no rebuke to heart. The leaders within her were roaring lions, ripping and tearing at their prey. Her rulers were like wolves of the plain, devouring everything and leaving nothing over for the next morning. The prophets in her were reckless liars and criminals; her ministers profaned the sanctuary and did great violence to God's Law. The more they were warned the greater they made haste to do their evil deeds Therefore YAHWEH has crushed these arrogant people. Their mighty fortress has been demolished. .

Therefore, wait for the day, said YAHWEH. Wait for the day when I arise to accuse you. For I have decided to gather together all nations, in order to pour out upon them all my wrath and my burning indignation. The whole earth will be consumed by the flames.

There is a land of battleships. They send their air craft carriers to distant oceans. Go, swift messenger, to a people strong and powerful, to a people feared by those both far and near, a nation violent and aggressive. All the people on the face of the earth have seen the standard hoisted on the mountains and have heard the trumpet sound. For these were the Words of YAHWEH : "From my place I shall look on and do nothing, when the heat shimmers in the summer sun. Before the vintage, when the budding is over, and the flower ripens into a berry, the shoots will be cut down pruning shears, and the branches will struck off and cleared away. All of it will be left to the birds of prey upon the hills, and to the wild beasts of the earth. At that time tribute will be brought to YAHWEH of Hosts, by a people strong and powerful, by a people feared by those both far and near, a nation violent and aggressive. They will bring it to the place where the name of YAHWEH of Hosts dwells."

Hear them say, "See, this is our God; we have waited and God will deliver us. This is YAHWEH for whom we have waited; let us rejoice and exult in God's deliverance. We have a strong city, with high walls and ramparts like those of a mighty fortress built for our safety. Open the gates, throw open wide the gates! Let a righteous people enter, a people who keep faith! ‘

In time God's people will take root, and they will bud and blossom and fill the whole world with fruit. For has YAHWEH struck down the churches as their enemies were struck down? God's quarrel with those quarrelsome churches ends by driving them into exile with a cruel blast, and this wipes out their iniquity, and the removal of their sin has been the result. They pound to chalk dust all their altar stones and their sacred poles and incense altars are not left standing.

YAHWEH will rid the church of the disgrace caused by her rebellion, for the arrogant will be purged from within her midst. Those who remain will do no wrong, nor will they be found committing perjury of spreading falsehood in YAHWEH's name. Suddenly her fortunes were restored right before eyes. No longer will she endure insults or reproach, for YAHWEH of Hosts will be found in the midst of her.

On that day YAHWEH will be a lovely garland, a fair diadem for the remnant of God's people. No longer will she be deserted, like a wife who is hated and neglected, nor will she be reviled, but she will be called ‘House of God', for YAHWEH has appeared over her in glory. Now she knows that it is YAHWEH who is her deliverer, and her Light has come. Though thick darkness has covered the earth, and though dark night covers the nations, over her a light has dawned.

She is astonished. She did not believe in her Deliverer, for her ancestors had robbed her of glory, and left her impoverished. Now she is cloaked with shame, her eyes downcast. Truly YAHWEH has leveled her and razed her to the ground. But soon she will have no room for the multitudes that are coming. Let her raise her eyes and look around, and she will see that they are coming to her, some from far away. For a brief moment, YAHWEH's wrath was upon her. For a fleeting moment she was rejected, but now her light has dawned. YAHWEH has made her into a city on a hill.

No longer will she be found discouraged. The weakest person found in her will be like a lion. No longer will she be trampled upon by Kings nor will she endure contempt. The nation that refuses to serve her will kindle the wrath of YAHWEH and there will be wide spread devestation in such nations, for the righteousness of YAHWEH will dwell in her. Now she knows her God, and her God knows her. She will fastened into place by strong tent pegs and she will never again have anything to fear. Her peace will be everlasting. Sorrow and sadness will be swept away. Gladness and joy will be found in her, celebration and rejoicing, for great and majestic is YAHWEH of Hosts, and the glory of God will surround her on all sides.
