A dialogue with the Pope

The photograph above shows just how deeply angered the Pope is at the present time. I have studied that photograph carefully looking for signs of guilt, but if it is there, it must be buried underneath all that obviously boiling anger that is in that Pope right now. To understand why this would be the case you would need to consult the page A Message for the Pope, which was my response to a charge of heresy, part of what I referred to as the rising tide of the ‘Counter-Reformation' I could see building up steam in the Vatican.

Now as for making that Pope so profoundly angry, as you can tell from the photo, all I can say is that if you, the Pope, do not sin you will not be so easily trapped and snared in your own sins, and so I would recommend that stop your sinning, since you have only yourself to blame. You are the Pope, and so it should not be necessary for you to receive such an elementary lecture, and that you must receive such a stern lecture is all the proof that anyone needs that your religious doctrine does more harm to the human personality than it does any good. What good it does is meager and it is the sinning that results from the ancient doctrine that really stands out in sharp relief. You, yourself, are the object lesson, the word of Roman Catholicism made flesh, one might say, and thus examining you is a way of also examining your doctrine, and so therefore if people do not want to turn out as badly as you did, which I am sure they won't want to do, it would be best to avoid the root cause of the problem, which is your doctrine which then shapes your personality and in the end explains your behavior. As for such shocking lectures, I always have mixed feelings about doing such things, but such things must done from time to time, and if they are to be done, a thorough job should be made of it to just get it over with, or one would find oneself back doing it again, piecemeal, which is not an approach I favor when it comes to that sort of necessarily nasty business.

You are, after all, in a powerful position of influence, and therefore when you sin as badly as you have sinned, you should expect to be powerfully judged, lest your bad behavior catch on and spread, which is something the world just doesn't need right now. Because of your really bad behavior and all your sinning, I find myself constantly asking myself the question, ‘Who are you,' and then I find myself entertaining two possibilities. I think of that image of a bad priest in the Book of Revelations, which is that of a Dragon, dressed up to look like a lamb, who then proceeds to abuse its religious authority to trick people into worshiping the powerful ruthless beast that rules the world. While it dresses like a lamb, there is, however, no way of hiding that really bad Dragon's mouth, since there is no point in dressing like a lamb while at the same time following the agenda of a Dragon, which means that then one must speak like a Dragon, for to speak like a lamb would just ruin everything for the evil and powerful Beast that rules the world. The second image that comes to mind is the picture of Joshua, the High Priest, who was parading in public dressed in filthy robes with a really dirty turban on his head, and really needed to visit a Laundromat. Hopefully, for you sake, this is who you are, because if it turns out that you are a Dragon and you are working for the ruling powers of this planet, your troubles have just begun. As I said, I can't be sure who you are, because of all that sinning, but given enough time I will find out, and if I find out what I do not wish to see, then you will find me to be rather difficult to deal with, for obvious reasons.

The status of women

I have decided to respond to some of you most recent remarks as reported in the Catholic News Service. Referring to the role of women the service reports that you seemed to budge an inch on that issue, stating,

While insisting women cannot be ordained priests, Pope Benedict XVI said it is right to discuss how women can be more involved in church decision-making.

As any critical reader of the writings of Paul would know, Paul went through an evolution in his thinking on the status of women, insisting at one point in his life that women were forbidden to speak at church, that they were to speak only to their husbands at home, that they were to be saved by getting pregnant and raising children, as their share of the punishment of some mythological ancestor named Eve, and that they were required to wear the veil and cover themselves, lest they shock the angels. Paul ends his rant about the veil by pointing out that this is the traditional custom of the Roman empire, and thus we have no other custom at church. It is therefore an argument only from custom and the habits of a society, and archeological finds have revealed Roman woman veiled, heads bowed in submission, sitting at the back of the temple while men were shown in active roles in that temple. Therefore we know that liberation came to the early church, as women were doing such scandalous things as talking in church, and even refusing to cover up under the veil, thus requiring that Paul to write up his rants on the subject, since if they hadn't done so, what reason would that traditionalist Pharisee have to write such bad tempered rants?

Now I say that Paul obviously went through an evolution in his thinking, for we also find that Paul recommended Phoebe, who was the minister of the church Cenchraea. He was also worked with Prisca and Aquilla, and he also commends that eminent apostle, Junia. We know from Paul's listing of church offices that there was no Pope at that time, for he lists the office of ‘apostle' as the highest office in that church, which would have been an uncentralized function, rather than a singular heirarchy, and therefore we know that women held the highest offices they had in that early church. We also know that the apostle Paul was just rabidly opposed to the whole idea, but then he came around later and learned to accept the changes taking place in Roman society because of Christianity. We know that the traditionalists did not share Paul's transformation, since it proved necessary for Jerome to mistranslate all the names of the women just listed when he translated the Latin Vulgate, so as to make them male names in order to preserve male patriarchy.

Therefore we must ask whether or not, you, the Pope, are a potential Paul, and capable of accepting a change to tradition, or whether it turns out you are actually a Jerome, and will thus feel it necessary to falsify the data set so as to preserve that archaic Roman custom for perhaps a few more years.

The culture of death

The Catholic News Service wrote,

The pope emphasized the importance of individuals recognizing they have been created by God, entering into a relationship with God and sharing that relationship with others."It has been said -- I'm thinking of Nietzsche, but also many others -- that Christianity is a choice against life. With the cross, with all the commandments, with every 'no' it tells us, it closes the door to life," But true Christian faith teaches people that the abundance of life comes not from hoarding it, but from giving it, he said."Human life is a relationship," he said. "And the basic relationship is with the Creator, otherwise all relationships are fragile.""A world emptied of God, a world that has forgotten God, loses life and falls into a culture of death," the pope said.

You and I agree about the existence on this planet of a ‘culture of death', but where we will diverge is on the analysis of the root cause of the problem. For you see, when a planet has the ‘culture of death', there is really no room on such a planet for a concept such as ‘faith in God', since those two ideologies cannot coexist. The problem is an emotional one, in that such shocking displays of ruthless wickedness are constantly hurled up on this planet, and function like a corrosive acid, which destroys the human personality. For this reason your analysis of ‘a lack of God' is the analysis of a symptom, and since curing a disease requires attacking the disease which is responsible for the symptom, your proposed solutions are a placebo, and could never work.

I know something about this process, for when I was 12 years old, and becoming more aware of what was going on in the world, I had a pail full of that corrosive acid thrown into my face. It was just one appalling act of wickedness and cruelty by the ruling Beast of this planet, one right after another. This is a permanent ongoing problem. When it comes time for the people with no money to be left to starve and die, when it comes time for the powerful ruling elites to once again cull the herd, they cull the herd, while lies are told to allow those who cannot believe just how incompetently and ruthlessly this planet is governed to rationalize what they see going on. If this isn't bad enough, in another shocking act of senseless cruelty, the Bush administration has loaded the United Nations with representatives of the religious right who are taking away the right to birth control from poor people around the world, and as one of their representatives responded when asked what they were to do, he replied ‘practice abstinent chastity.' Such pharisees are the same ones who are hostile to such programs as food stamps and insist that third world pay their supposed debts, while at the same time those pharisees load heavy boulders onto people, almost impossible to bear, while they refuse to lift so much as one finger to help them, while the brain washed herd mutters about the scandalous breeding of poor people, who then, one must assume get what they deserve when they perish.

It should be pretty obvious that these leading characters from the religious right are morally depraved and totally demented individuals, whose poisonous torture ideology masquerading as a faith, has obviously warped their minds, which is an object lesson in why one must diligently avoid being ‘born again' or risk ingesting the same psychological toxins into your system. Here is your house, a church over run with wolves in sheep's clothing, which doesn't do much for ‘faith in God'.

It is also painfully obvious that the ‘culture of life' (as it is called) is nothing but a wicked diversionary fraud, since as I have found, you can count starved babies until you count into the tens of millions, and that mob, having been diverted into some ditch by the right wing death squads of religion, never have gotten themselves worked up into a sweat about the cruelty being displayed to this little children. When our glorious leaders and the richest and most powerful people in the world ruthlessly crush and destroy human life, even the most innocent and the most helpless among us, rather than being condemned as they so richly deserve for their perverse services to the rich, we find out religious types ranting about some hatched egg and then ‘praying for our ruling authorities'. This is another contribution to the ‘culture of death', and another reason to avoid the torture ideology masquerading as a religion which they espouse, for it turns out that such a ruthless ideology of domination so addles the human mind, that people can no longer see what is right in front of their eyes, and become the blind following their equally blind leaders as they march right straight into the ditch. Since our glorious King, his royal highness, is never confronted for his wickedness, sin spreads like a cancer, and then 12 year old children get bucket after bucket of that corrosive acid pitched into their faces, something I remember very well. We can see then that this supposed religion, which preaches relentlessly against ‘sin', is, at the end of it all, one of the main contributing factors to the spread of sin and its increase to monstrous levels, since that can only happen once people become religious and then become stupid enough to allow it to happen, thus causing the spread of the ‘culture of death'.

Young People

The Catholic News Service wrote,

Responding to a question about the difficulties young people face today, the pope said the basic problem is a "great solitude.""Everyone lives in his own world. They are islands of thought and feelings; they never come together," he said.Without a strong family life and strong faith, the pope said, people forget that they are all children of God and that the life they are called to live is a life in community."Why this solitude in a society that otherwise appears as a society of the masses?" he asked. "Why this lack of understanding in a society in which everyone seeks to understand, where communication is everything and where the transparency of everything to everyone is the supreme law?"

I know something about that ‘great solitude', having become such a tragic island of thought and feelings when I was 12 years old, and saw how the planet was being run into the ground by scheming world leaders as they plotted together relentlessly to support that equally ruthless cabal of aristocratic capitalists. As I said I saw that, because it is obvious, but even when something is that obvious you find that people don't talk about it, some because they got saved and born again and can no longer see, and some because they are afraid, because these are, after all, the most ruthless people on earth we are talking about here, and after watching them brutally persecuting the poor, ruthlessly crushing the Nicaraguans, slaughtering the Guatemalans, and making Argentinian kids ‘disappear' (they were handed over to sex perverts who stripped them naked and performed sadistic sex tortures on them for weeks, while Kissinger wrote them letters telling them to hurry and get done, thus making their moms cry), well, when people see these things going on they get scared and shut up, one must suppose. (Hell, maybe even Popes get scared because of those ruthless demented pricks, which would explain a lot).

It is funny that when Kissinger's mail was made public, wherein he urged the Argentinian sex perverts to finish molesting kids by Christmas, there was no denunciation issued from the Papal Throne. You can understand why it would be the case that I would be wonder if the Pope might be a Dragon dressed as a lamb, who works for the Beast, when I keep getting that particular pail of acid pitched into my face, time and time again.

Well fortunately I have developed an immunity to those pails of acid over the years, but the same cannot be said of our kids, who cannot find any sanctuary at home, with their moms, or joining the choir at some church, as you suggested in your remarks above.

Those pails of acid pitched about that demented king keep coming. One good example of that sort of thing is the Bush administration in Washington. Now truly it should be said, that George W. Bush is one of those most morally depraved and demented individuals I have ever seen on a throne, which is saying a lot, because they are all worthless, but he sets a new standard. The man is an incorrigible scheming liar, who never stops plotting against the poor and the helpless, with an almost pathological hatred of America's food stamps program, while showing his demented nature by constantly jacking up the money poured into the death machinery while at the same time cutting taxes for his political base, those equally demented cabal of self satisfied smug looking elite have mores, the capitalists of America (one good thing that Michael Moore did was to actually show some film of those smug looking shits in ten thousand dollar suits).

Different children deal with those pails of acid in different ways. I became what I am now. But the rest of them become various different things. Some become disjointed and emotionally disturbed, withdrawn, in a culture of isolation as you noted in your remarks. Some react by emulating those ruthless pricks, the elite have mores and the king, and so we see such things as young boys opening up with revolvers in malls, emulating their role models, the most powerful people on earth, who are obviously ruthless oppressors, perverted by the love of money and full of bitterness and hatred towards humanity, whose lives they regard as rubbish, while always making sure that they themselves have security up the ass, since it turns out they are in no hurry to check out, and would like to stick around for as long as possible.

If you have any doubts, you can make a note of just how demented George Bush really is, which is representative of his class and his political base, the richest and most powerful people on earth, when you consider that George insists on cutting taxes to those capitalists, and it turns out that giving a whisker trim to a capitalist is enough to plunge the country into economic ruin, as you can see, because they are just that stinking rich already, but then I would suppose that you can just never love money to much. At the same time the victims of Katrina who were poor were left to drown in their attics, and now they are being pitched out of hotel rooms, while demented politicians talk about how God did an urban renewal project for those worthless warped minded shits. Our politicians will have to tell us there is no money, but there is money, as you can tell by looking at that monster debt, which is the whisker trim for those warp minded bastards, but as I said our king, his royal majesty, works for the rich and that means endless relentless plotting against the poor, and one pail of corrosive acid after another pitched into the faces of our children.

If you want more evidence of moral rottenness and greed which is destroying this planet, you might recall how during that last African famine the United Nations begged for a few tens of millions of dollars, not being unrealistic and asking for to much since even getting a dime would be hard enough. Those elite have mores didn't bother writing a cheque, and the Kings of course did not find the money, because the King knows how much those elite have mores hate to part with a nickel, which then explains those tax cuts and the program bashing going on around the world, and also explains why after begging for months and months the United Nations just couldn't raise a dime. If that wasn't bad enough, Niger got half a billion for militarism and the culture of death, supposedly as part of Niger's role in the so called ‘War against Terror', which proves both that you can get money, lots of it, for the culture of death if it is required to protect the fortunes of those demented capitalists, and also proves that the war on terror is a fraud, which makes me wonder why idiotic sounding religious spokes people continue to favor that propaganda mush, which is the latest imperialist cover story for naked colonialism.

I could go on and on about those pails of acid which are destroying the spirits and breaking the hearts of our little children. Don't bother trying to preach to them about ‘faith in God', because you will just make yourself sound like a deluded old idiot, for they know better than to listen to such talk, because the kind, being demented, continually stomps and bashes and crushes their hearts, throwing up pile after pile of shit in an act of filthy and depraved defiance, thus proving that wickedness is the way to real power and wealth, for they can then check their bank account balance and prove that this is the true secret to life. Hitler put it best when he said that he would rather be the wolf than the lamb, for all the history of the world proves that nature favors the wicked and the ruthless, as you can tell by checking the bank accounts of those evil and ruthless pricks.

Having a warm cozy home won't fix that problem, and so once again your analysis is found to be facile.

Why did the Kings of the Nations rage, oh why did they continue to hatch all their useless and futile plots, as they conspired together, saying, ‘let us throw off the yoke.' I would advise those Kings to ponder these matters carefully as they lay on their beds, lest they be cut down in mid course, for wrath is kindled suddenly in an instant.

The point to be made here is that those are the most powerful people on earth, and so therefore they should be powerfully judged, unless, of course, it turns out that you are actually working for them, in which case you must diligently avoid doing that, and I will catch you at it, so you must be very very clever, which will be hard, as you diligently avoid that task, because that avoidance will be obvious, now won't it. You can see the problem you will have should it be the case that you are a Dragon dressed up like a Lamb who worships that Beast of the world. I will be back to ask why you still aren't doing your job as a supposed ‘moral leader', while I do the job of a Pope myself, since it would have turned out that the position was vacant.

Tradition

I thought I would respond to your appeal to tradition with a few parables.

Once upon a time there was a very clever snake, with a deep and profound understanding of human nature. The snake understood that all that was required was to establish a tradition, and then allowing for that aspect of human nature known as ‘peer pressure', which is the source of all the different cultures on earth, it would then turn out that whatever that snake introduced would self replicate, even for thousands of years. Of course sinfulness would self replicate at the same time, because this was, after all, a snake at work.

The point to made here is that conservatives laud tradition saying that the fact that something lasted for a long time proves its ‘value', when actually all it proves is that people manipulate each other using peer pressure, and the effect is so powerful that it creates entire cultures and religious doctrines which then persist for thousands and thousand of years. Conservatives have a curious blind spot to the warts on their own traditions, while having no problem seeing the problems in other cultures and religions, which have propagated by the same means. They see even so much as spot in another's eye while being completely oblivious to the log in their own eye, a very curious example of persistent conservative myopia.

Another parable. Once a snake wrote up a menu. One of this and one of that, and then religious people of course were found serving that dish for thousands of years. The problem was that God also wrote a menu, which wasn't their menu, and when it came time to serve the dish, as would be expected, God faced a charge of heresy as religious people went to war and were found to be the worst ones to fight that serving of broccoli, because you see, they already had th e menu, and therefore they expected God to appear like a waiter carrying a platter for them.
