UFOs, 666, and Satan the devil
and the False Prophet of Revelations
In our modern society, where it seems that purely materialistic philosophy of life and the universe prevails, it can be difficult to get people to listen while you attempt to tell them about some of the topics I will be discussing on this page, so I ask you to try to keep an open mind, and bear with me while I deliver the following testimony...
On this page I will be discussing UFOs, 666, the mark of the beast, and the false prophet of Revelations chapter 13, as well as the angel, the rainbow and the cloud of Revelations chapter 10. The following is a short summary of my story, followed by a brief discussion of this issue of 666, also called the number of the beast, which stands for the number of a man's name, or, usually, the mark of the beast. When I was twelve I heard a voice coming out of nowhere which said, 'the telephone is going to ring, your grandfather is dead.' About a minute later this happened. On my story page I describe how, after I was praying about starving babies, I was approached by a bright luminous object in Banff national Park in 1974. I was fifteen at the time. First it was 'wrapped in a cloud' (animations -> Jasper.ram - real media or Jasper.mpg - windows media or view an animated gif if you do not have media playing software. The object then returned surrounded by a giant rainbow halo (the animation of this event is not completed at this time, but you can see a drawing that I made of the object in the 1975 issue of Canadian UFO report, by clicking here --> cufor page 3 gif file - 46K .
A few months later I received my driver's licence and the number on it was
"Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head."The '666' is an allusion to Revelations chapter 13 verse 11 (which describes the lamb dragon, the false prophet of Revelations) :
11 Then I saw another beast which rose out of the earth; it had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon.The passage referring to the rainbow and the cloud, contains instructions, found in Revelations chapter 11 verse 1 to 'measure the temple and the altar' and that explains why you will find critique and analysis of the Bible on this site (because this is what I understand this passage to mean).
12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed.
13 It works great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men;
14 and by the signs which it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast, it deceives those who dwell on earth, bidding them make an image for the beast which was wounded by the sword and yet lived;
15 and it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast so that the image of the beast should even speak, and to cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.
16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,
17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.
18 This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
I am quite notorious, particularly at the top of the churches, less so at the bottom of the churches. I feel a little defensive about all this because it has been the custom in certain pulpits to charge me with being a devil, which is dangerous territory to be wandering into, and naturally I don't like it. Now first in my self defence, let me say that I don't care who buys or sells what, and when I finally drop dead people will be able to look back on my life and say 'he never got around to marking anyone's head with the 666 mark of the beast' (whatever that means). Hell will freeze over first. Furthermore, if my analysis of the Bible is false, then I am a false prophet, but if I am being truthful I am not. I will leave it to others to judge the matter for themselves. I am also determined to post accurate 'measurements'. For this reason you will find that I have determined that the Bible is composed of sources, which I could over simplify by describing them as radical and revolutionary sources contaminated by later reactionary, conservative sources during a time of backlash, accounting, at least in part, for the fact that the Bible is so often called contradictory. For that reason, for example, half the book of Jeremiah is condemned (not being written by Jeremiah, but later by Levite priests masquerading as Jeremiah). As I mentioned, if my measurements are false, I am a false prophet, but if I am fair, truthful, and accurate, I am not, and the problem lies with those who lay unfounded charges, not me.
It was said of Christ, in the gospels, that he was only Christ because he possessed all the power of Satan the devil. He replied that if Satan is fighting against Satan, then his kingdom must fall. Now the experiences that I had in Jasper Park and in Melville (and everything that happened later) all convinced me that Christ existed, and all that 666 mark of the beast allusion convinced me of was that a devil existed as well. Now you can consider the appearance of that 666 to be 'the calling card of a devil'. Where Christ was a devil wasn't far behind, and personally I interpret this as an attempt to smear me and make trouble for me, by attempting to mark me with that mark of the beast, something you would expect if there was also what our ancestors referred to as devil existing out there. After all, if a devil was against someone, and a devil first heard of that 666 mark of the beast, then it would follow that it would soon become the number of the beast would soon become the favorite number of a devil as well, which doesn't surprise me. Would they try something with '333' maybe. Not likely, since it is 666 which is the number to use if a devil wants to cause some trouble for someone, and 333 wouldn't do a devil any good. So its not surprising that a devil would try something like that, and it even seems obvious that they would. Now if I show you this 666 then that should help you to believe that I am telling you the truth and therefore a devil exists and Christ exists, and if you can accept my testimony on these matters, your faith only increases, not decreases. You can see then how it would have to be a 'desperate devil' that would try something like this, since its counter-productive to the cause of a devil to leave behind evidence in the hope of stopping someone. If you cannot stop someone then perhaps you can smear them or make trouble for them, which is what you would expect from a devil, although, really, you would expect a devil to try and hide the truth, and by revealing himself, this proves to be counter-productive to the cause of the devil. I get one more piece of evidence, and all a devil can do, apparently, is try to smear me and cause trouble for me, not that I am concerned, because I could use all the evidence I can get, even something as disgusting as this. In any case I will leave you to consider the matter for yourself. That 666 mark of the beast was the calling card of a devil, but, ironically, it was also the calling card of Christ, for it would seem that wherever Christ was, a devil wasn't far behind.
I am also aware that among certain circles of Christians it is held to be true that 'UFOs come from Satan the devil'. Angels and devils come from an invisible spirit realm, and UFOs are merely pretended physical manifestations of devils trying to trick people, so it is said. Why this should be the case, I have never understood. I prayed to God and a devil answered, thus Satan was certainly fighting against Satan because it goes without saying that the experience made a believer out of me.
It was a traditional belief of our ancestors that 'angels' were 'invisible spirit beings' but my experience indicates that they are actually a kind of people. A belief may be 'traditional' but that does not make it correct. Keep in mind that our ancestors in the churches attacked those who suggested that the world was not flat or that the earth was not the center of the universe, both traditional beliefs, and both completely erroneous. It is a very big universe and we are not the center of the universe, although we often seem to think that we are. It turns out to be the case that others live here as well.
It would seem that the only reason certain Christians believe that UFOs are Satanic is because they believe that only a 'decietful lying spirit' would 'manifest' and then pretend to ride in a craft. To employ a Biblical argument, you might recall that angels were referred to as 'the sons of God'. In the book of Daniel the angel Gabriel is referred to as 'the man Gabriel.' According to the saying of Christ in the gospels, after people are raised 'they will be like the angels,' and according to Paul 'we will have heavenly bodies' and if you follow certain gospel traditions about the raised Christ, you will recall that he specifically insisted that he was no ghost, had flesh and blood, inviting others to touch him to prove the point, this being Paul's 'glorified body'. You will notice that in Genesis it states that Abraham met 'two men' and that Jacob wrestled with 'a man' so clearly in this particular tradition 'angels' had bodies, and were recognizable as a kind of person. According to Hosea, Jacob wrestled with an angel, the terms 'man' and 'angel' being interchangeable in many places in the Bible.
This belief in 'ghostly angels' seems tied to another traditional belief, that of a ghostly heaven where people go when they die, although scriptures themselves state that people 'sleep' when they are dead, that the dead know nothing, as Christ would say, 'God is the God of the living, not the dead,' and the only source of these traditional beliefs comes from taking parable stories literally (thus introducing extra conflicts in scripture). Now tradition would assert that 'angels only manifested as people' and it would then be asserted that normally they live as invisible spirits, but once again this belief is merely habitual and traditional, and I would point out to you that it was promulgated and held by people who never actually had any experience in the matter, and who only formulated theology on these matters, just as they formulated earth centered flat earth theological propositions, demonstrating the need to be less dogmatic about traditions, in particular when it comes to things we know nothing about. Insisting that a thing is true does not make it true, and I guess we will all find out together.
